My 6 year old loves this and wants to work on it daily. I like that the instructions have good graphics and suggest the order to do the crafts, so they increase in difficulty. I help her tie the knots and thread the needle, but otherwise she understands the instructions on her own.

I bought this for my 5 year old boy and we worked on it last night. It is a good challenge for him and was a lot of fun creating something. He had to use his thinking and motor skills for it. We worked on the unicorn pillow and the bunny key chain. First thing he said this morning was that he wanted to cross stitch! I'd say that is a win. It reminds me of working on a cross stitch picture when I was very young.

My 9 year old picked up the basic crossstitch pretty fast. Counting the stitches was more difficult. It’s a great kit for beginners. Would suggest for 9-12 year olds.

this is a great set for beginners. Cross stiches are large, the patterns clear and of ascending difficulty. The little items that are produced are of the useful sort, e.g., card case, key chain ornament, purse.

I’m cross stitching a Christmas stocking for our new baby. My 6 year old daughter wants to do what I do. I bought her another child’s cross stitch that she couldn’t do because threading the needle was too sharp and hard, making the small crosses was too hard. It was very frustrating. So I found this kit. It has been WONDERFUL. She can use the plastic needle without hurting herself. She can thread the needle and she can make the crosses beautifully using the pre pressed holes. The only trouble she has is tying the not on the end of the thread. She’s already created one and a half of the key rings and has enjoyed the craft completely. Thank you for this fun child-friendly kit!!
