I had an old unit (7-8 years old) that worked much better. I am in the middle of a move and have misplaced my Kreg jig that I always use. This was a quick purchase that I disliked from the first use. Don't get me wrong, it did the job and did it well. It is just that my older Kreg jig did it better. I build cabinets regularly. In my opinion a Kreg jig is the best tool to build cabinet face frames. It is easy to use, places pocket hole screws accurately and is well worth the $$$. This unit seems to have been built to be used in other applications too. The add on tailpieces are not rigid. They flex too much and are harder to get to stay in place than older versions. They are a great tool and unmatched by other brands I have tried. I will probably give this one to a friend when I find my old one. It had an attached clamp that made it easy to manipulate. This one does not. The clamp is separate and has to be manipulated with two hands. It guides the drill to the same strong, accurate placement of the screws but still seems cludgy. It appears that the older unit is out of production at this time. So if you need to place pocket hole screws for cabinets and ??? this one will do the job and in reality do it well.

Convenient to use and versatile. I have used it to set pocket screws in cabinet making projects. I have used it for framing carpentry in remodel projects. Setting pocket screws in 1 ½" stock becomes especially useful instead of toe nailing when installing 2X4 studs in places too tight to swing a hammer.

Works awesome and easy to use. Makes super tight joints with professional results. Skip the clamp, difficult to use and the spring popped off first use. Just use a regular bar clamp and save yourself some time and money. Included screws are a nice touch but you will go through them fast. Buy on line in advance 3x the price at big box stores.

I love these kreg jigs, they function exactly as needed, they clamp down perfectly and don’t move, very easy to use, the sizes and adjustability is great. And very accurate. Just remember to use the proper length screws

Soy nuevo en esto de hacer muebles, realmente los hago para mi pasa, y considero que esta herramienta es muy sencilla de entender, utilizar y facilita mucho el ensamble, los acabados me gustan mucho. Eso sÃ, los tornillos necesarios son tostozos en computarán a los tradicionales. Dado que yo no hago muebles para vender ni en masa pues no lo pensé mucho y estoy encantado, pero para alguien que vaya a utilizar muchos tornillos si es un punto importante a considerar.

It’s excellent. Makes it so easy to make pocket screw holes. Have used this for way more projects than I planned to. It is also really well constructed and easy to adjust for different thicknesses. Has everything you need to get going including some screws to get started.
