Used recently to prepare 48" wide x 84" high shelving unit with adjustable shelves on each side. The Kreg KMA3225 Shelf-Pin Jig worked very well to align holes for shelf pins for drilling. Very good tool, easy to use and quality made.

I have been using the older Kreg version of this for nearly 10 years. But it was time for a new one. This one is great, nice quality. The only con is the bottom and top should be square. This is very important when drilling holes in an existing cabinet. And I have to line the jig up on each side. But it is still 5 stars, and wish I had purchased long time ago, saves a lot of time.

My contractor agreed to build a shelving system from scratch for my linen closet but I wanted adjustable shelves, so I purchased the Kreg KMA3225 Jig so his assistant could drill the holes. The system is reasonably priced, comes with quality hardware and bits and includes easy to follow directions and even a video on the company website. I'm very happy with how everything turned out. The holes bore cleanly, accept the pins easily and look very professional. Since I'll never use the jig, and being a minimalist, when the job was done I gave it to the assistant as a thank you gift.

This worked pretty good and you can connect more than one together to simplify the process. Wish they would include both bits to create 1/4†and 5mm holes. The fence is made to snap on and off so you can move the jig to either side of a project. While using, it fell to the floor while releasing the clamp I was using to hold it in place. One of the pins snapped right off. If this jig was made of different plastic, it could have been more durable. Made call to Kreg to buy just that part and they made good on it by just shipping me a new jig. Have to really appreciate that kind of service.

I'm not really a fan of adjustable shelves. They seem cheap to me, a kind of Ikea throwback. But when they are specified on a cabinet build, you install them. Manually getting all the holes precisely accurate so you don't get a wobbly shelf can be very hard. With this jig its actually kinda easy. The trick is the first hole markings. They have to be accurate to a tee. Then you clamp the guide, drill the open holes and if you need more holes move the jig up or down and use the last hole drilled to locate the jig by putting your drill bit through the hole in the jig into the last cabinet hole, clamp the jig again and now you have a whole new set of perfectly aligned holes to drill. The steel guide inserts in the jig helps you have a true 90 degree angle on the holes too. I've used others without the steel guide inserts and they wear out and allow angled holes very quickly. If you are just going to use the jig once, then there are several cheaper alternatives, but if you expect to use it for more cabinets go with the Kreg brand and it will last you a long time. One tip: Always use the drill stop on your bit. Tape alone is not good enough. The stop will prevent you from ever having the bit catch harder wood and blowing through the side of your cabinet. Worked perfectly for drilling shelf holes in a tall corner cabinet I built. I bought a few of these and linked them together to make the process faster.

So easy to use and repeat accurate shelf pin holes. Just made a birch garage cabinet and this made so easy. After watching a few videos, I did the holes before assembling the cabinet box so it would be easier than when assembled.

This jig is very accurate and easy to use, I used to build shelves in a cabinet and everything worked out perfectly.Just make sure you have the right pin size to fit in the holes !

Creating cabinets for the first time and was not sure what was going to go where. Having this shelf pin jig made that a none issue as you can adjust shelf height any way you want with this jig. Drill a perfect sized hole with the provided drill bit and stopper use the pin in the jig to set your top hole and start drilling. It couldn’t be easier. Repeat on the other side of the same board and you are done.I am a big fan of the Kreg products I already have but this and the concealed hinge jig are my new favorites due to ease of use, speed of getting stuff done and the competitive pricing.Would definitely recommend.

Easy to use and it feels durable. The product is plastic though, so I just take it easy with it.
