As an owner of a Casio PX-560, one could ask why am I paying more for less features. I my book, the PX-560 punches well about its weight. But the SP7 Grand wasn’t designed to compete with the PX-560. It was designed to compete with the likes of the Yamaha CP88 and Roland RD-2000. In this field, the SP7 offers a good feature to cost proposition. The weighted keys feel good in your hands and the sounds are good. It’s pro level keyboard focused on performance. Quick switching of voices and no need for large amounts of menu diving to obtain presets. 8 groups of sixteen voices that can contain up to 16 discrete instruments per voice. Its arpeggiator spans across voices. It’s a players keyboard. Hope you enjoy it as much I did.The firmware is a little glitchy and the downloadable manual is sparse.
