Legere reeds are the best for me. Great response, nice dark sound, excellent control over entire range, last forever. Delivery, as usual with Amazon, is superb

Great reed. Do no have to worry about wetting. Note as good as European. This fits mouthpiece better.

I've tried a number of synthetic reeds with Vandoren and Zinner mouthpieces without great results. However, the new Legere French Cut reed is the most like cane reeds that I've tried. With my Gleichweit 7-1 mouthpiece, the French Cut (No 3) gives a very even, dense, warm sound, good intonation and great response over the entire range of the clarinet. The current European Cut (No 3) is also great, but has a more open, vibrant sound with somewhat less resistance. Both reeds play as well or better than my best cane reeds.

Purchased for outdoor playing. Firmness was true to a comparable wooden Reed. So far, no signs of wear...

I have used Legere reeds for years. They are remarkably consistent and produce a warm, flexible sound. Easy to articulate on. I am always excited to see what new ideas they come up with. These French Cut reeds are a nice blend between the playing comfort of the European Cut and the fit of the Classic Cut.

It took some time to get the right strength but now it works great.

Got this for my son’s marching band clarinet, I figured it was easier than burning through a bunch of regular reeds and with a dozen clarinets playing, sound tone wasn’t as critical. He used it and it lasted from the summer band camp through October, so most of a marching band season! Much easier on my wallet than replacing wooden reeds all the time. I’ll get him another one of these at the start of next marching band season. The tone isn’t as good as his expensive wooden reeds but the value and durability are definitely there for playing in a group setting like marching band!!

Feels more like a normal cane Reed but is a little softer than the Legere European Cut Reed which I have gotten used to. I never thought I would ever play synthetic reeds but I find them very convenient. They are well worth trying and to have one for an emergency Good blowing. God bless. Bill. UK

I bought one of these when Légère introduced them. Unlike the European cut, this reed is narrower, meaning that it fits well with all my mouthpieces. The tone is lovely, and I find controlling the sound, especially dynamics much easier. I had gone back to cane, but this reed, despite its price, has me back to synthetic.
