These foam filter media are the perfect size for the newer Laguna pressure flow filter. They work well and if I backwash my 900 gallon pond weekly, the water stays clear. Excellent product.

We have 3 Laguna filters with 5 filter pads each and all are disintegrating within less than 3 months since our purchase in June. We will need to find a better replacements. Usually these last a full season! The originals and past years replacements were a much better quality. Their quality, even with same product bought at different stores have reacted the same this year.

I always bought the cheaper foam filters but a lot of the reviews said that these work better despite being twice the price. It has been a few months and I could already see that it takes a lot longer to clear up the water when sediment gets kicked up and I still cannot get the water as clear as it had always been in the past with these foam filters. They may last longer than the cheaper filters (I am not sure because I haven't needed to replace these but the cheap filters lasted the entire year for me), but it does not matter much if they do not work as well at keeping the pond clear. I will be switching back to the cheap filters for now on.

Unfortunately, this product is advertised incorrectly with respect to the Laguna PF 1000 in the Features & details section.I kept wondering why the excess water was clear when the 2 pull handles were pulled up in the Laguna PF 1000.The 2 Pull Handles on the Laguna PF 1000 when pulled up do not catch the lip of the 3 filter rings inside.By the time I discovered this, I lost my Platinum Ogon that my provider drove down to Los Angeles, CA after being flown in from Japan.I do hope that Laguna takes this Product Review seriously and reaches out to me to make amends.Of which the only solution I am willing to consider are free 2 Day delivery of 3 filter rings comparable for the Laguna PF 1000 Filter where the 2 handles will actually squeeze the 3 filter rings when pulled up.
