We have a lot of gophers so above ground gardening is the way to go. My son and I put this together pretty easily. I read some reviews where people complained of bowing after adding the soil. We used above ground garden bed soil and didn’t have any issues. Love the height, no bending over to tend to the plants. And it is has a good amount of depth. As far as looks I prefer wood, but purchased this for the price and durability. Our seedlings are sprouting and seem to be thriving in their little home. I considering purchasing a few more

I’m very happy with the quality of these raised beds. I will add drain holes and paint them with galvanizing paint to prevent rusting and line them with garden fabric to prevent soil loss. The manufacturer’s instructions are illustrations of parts and you have to figure out the construction based on what they consider the layout of the parts. Nothing written, nothing completely obvious. So, to help those who buy these, we took photos during construction. It helps to have 2 people to line things up but really you could do it yourself. The beds are light weight but sturdy.Tips: Use the box it came in to work on a higher surface and to prevent screws from escaping. We did the initial assembly and tightened the screws finger tight. Install all of the screws loosely before tightening any of them. We used an impact driver to speed up tightening the screws and nuts after the bed was completely assembled but hand tools will work fine. All you need is an 11 mm wrench or small adjustable wrench and a Phillips screwdriver1. Parts (came with extra screws)2. Side walls and legs.3. Add end walls to legs, easier to assemble by letting the wall and leg hang over the box the bed came in.4. One side completed, do the second side.5. Add the bed floor/bottom to one side. The floor rail supports go bottom down.6. Predrilled floor hole.7. Add the second side to the bed floor.8. Stand the bed upright.9. Add the long sides.10. Align the sides with the curved side resting on the floor to prevent soil loss.11. Tap on the leg caps with a small mallet. The manufacturer's instructions.

I like this raised vege bed. It cames well packed. Once it is assembled, it looks pretty good and sturdy. However, I really have to complain that there is no instruction on assembling. You have to be handy to figure it out yourself. Two people working together can make the thing easier. I put three of them all by myself. It took me about three hours. The first one really took me a while since there was no instruction. After that I did much faster. The tricky part is put on the middle legs to join the bottom parts and side fences together. You might need extra hands for that. I removed one star for that.

It was pretty easy to but together. Nice quality. Heavier than I thought it would be.

I usually go right to the rating reviews before investing in something of value and read some of the reviews. I normally start by reading some of the negative reviews and work my way up to the five stars before making the decision to purchase. Reviews are fickle and I incorporate that into my decision making process. In this case I found some of the one, two and three star reviews to be very interesting and ultimately comically entertaining.I guess a lot of people don't understand some of the very basic concepts of construction and physics. This is a very light and modestly designed raised planting bed and that is reflected in the affordable pricing. That's not a knock on this product but actually a reflection of its value. I said it's modestly designed not poorly designed. It's actually very well designed and that allows the light weight materials to function and intergrate well for it's intended purpose. That purpose would be to provide a raised garden bed for flowers and vegetables. It's designed to support the weight of your typical garden soil and the plants. Dirt is not the same as garden soil. If you are going to dig up some dirt or glacial till left over from the ice age and toss it in the bed you will most likely have issues. Dirt weights a magnitude more than garden soil as does concrete. So I wouldn't line the bottom with bricks (concrete) and you won't need to add any additional structural support or unattractive bracing.I didn't have any of the issues some people noted in their reviews regarding damage, missing holes etc. I have the capability to drill holes so it would have only been a modest setback during assembly anyway. I wouldn't lean on or place anything heavy on the top edges or it most likely will bend. Like I said it uses light weight materials. If you want higher quality materials you are assuredly going to pay much, much more for that privilege.Yep, instructions are lacking as in basically "none". They provide some basic diagrams but even they are lacking and there are no actual written instructions. I have confidence you'll be able to figure it out. Use the pictures on Amazon and zoom in closely to address any details you need clarified. All things considered, the wife and I are ecstatic with are acquisition and feel we made a good investment.

These are so amazing that we purchased four of them for our patio, two for each side. I am thinking about two more. Easy to assemble. Our companion style plants are soaring together in our garden beds. I don't see any rust or defects. I don't have to bend over is a huge plus! Our under15 years old grandchildren helps us take care of our raised bed plants. They helped put the worms in. I love that our worms stay local in their own beds, no guessing if worms are still there, they are. Beautiful soil. Our grands love watering and pouring the worm tea into the beds, no tracking, no mess. The excess water drains with no pain. The beds enhance our patio, beautiful gardens. The pictures are before we put our patio together. I have to take some and post how beautiful it looks out there. They work for us! I hope this helps.
