Very helpful to sand down little knicks from the bottom of glazed fired pots, but be careful because it will scratch the glaze.

I've used stilt stones for ages to smooth the bases of my ceramic items. These are effective stilt stones and very well priced.It does seem to me that the description was written by someone without much ceramic experience. But if you are familiar with the intended use of a stilt stone, these are very functional.

The product is exactly what we wanted and needed.
