I got this to help improve the efficiency of my smoker. So far it has worked great and really holds the heat in. I am using 20% - 30% less wood and it is easier to maintain the temperature. It was easy to use and I encased it to make an easy to remove cap that will hold up in the weather. Great item that works well

I needed a mat that was .5†in thickness. It was opened and cut before I realized that it is 1†in thickness so I can’t return it. So beware that it is thicker than it is stated.
