Love this Butterfly Kite!!! Took it to the beach and flew it for at least an hour. So easy to constuct and put away when done. Flew very easily and stayed aloft without much effort at all. Beautiful design and received a lot of attention from passerbys. Highly recommend this for family fun!!

4.5 stars/5 stars. This kite held up in the windiest conditions at the beach. It was a very windy day - literally 30-40mph winds. The kite didn't break and stayed strong. Why did I knock down .5 stars? The hand held wheel didn't look the same as the one in the video! I was expecting the round looking one shown in the video, so I am disappointed in that. But otherwise, it's a fun and good quality kite. I've only used it once and will use it again with the kids next month!

I bought this for my granddaughter. It was bigger than expected, nice quality, and very beautiful. It is easy to assemble and comes with a storage bag. We had some good fun with this!

Overall, this is a nice kite. It's larger than many beginner's kites and it's very colorful. Assembly was fairly easy and took less than ten minutes. You have to be a bit aggressive in bending the rods to fit them in the right places. The most difficult step was attaching the string to the kite. It uses a clip similar to a safety pin, but it was difficult to unclasp and even more difficult to reclasp. The instructions are decent but lack some detail and there are no instructions on what wind conditions need to be to use the kite or how to fly it.After assembly, I took the kite to an open field. The wind was reported at 10 to 12 miles per hour. The kite took to the air immediately, and with the very long tails, was reasonably steady. However, it did not remain in the air for fairly long. The wind was a bit gusty and frequently died down. Also, it was variable in direction. In such conditions, the kite could not maintain flight. In the right wind conditions, this is a nice kite and easy to fly. But in other conditions, it might not fly as well as other kites.

This is the second Flying Hoofer kite that I have reviewed. I am finding the brand to be of okay but not exceptional quality. It will get the job done. I like this kite because it is a bit larger and the colors work well. The kite uses an x-brace system to keep all four lobes of the wings taught. It is often employed in butterfly kites. The workmanship, as I said, should do the job, but looks a little hurried. I have found better quality in the same product category. The kite does include a storage bag as well as quick-attach string. As a larger kite, it would be more appropriate for a somewhat older child, say 8 or older.

I got this on sale and it Isa GREAT quality kite. Kids love it and it flies!!!! I've used all the string several times extending it out.

We have had many kites and have never had any issues. On a blustery day this butterfly kite just would not fly. It kept twisting upside down the wrong way up just a few meters from the ground, spinning round and round and getting the string tangled. The ribbons on it are sharp and hurt if they scrape against your skin (one fell off immediately). After half an hour of trying to make it fly we went home to get our other kites…including a new dragon one from Amazon which flew immediately and perfectly! This butterfly one must be defective! It was the perfect weather for kite flying and it just would not take flight. Disappointing as my 5yr old picked this one and was so excited to use it…for it to be a big flop!

Hält was er verspricht. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut und auch die stoffauswahl lässt hoffen, dass er länger als eine Saison hält :)Sowohl der auf- als auch der Abbau funktionieren sehr gut, sodass es anschließend wieder in die Verpackung passt
