this is as large as it is described in the product listing. very large as it shown. it is not plastic and the kite was build with ripstop nylon cloth with printed image. the bird body and wing are sew together with curve. much better looking construction than some of the similar kite on the market. the spread bar are cfk and carbon rod not plastics. the bird wing is swap back and body are curve. this all is under $18 usd! remarkable. the workman ship is bit off. there are a lot lose threads left at end of binding tap. it will not get any point in any of the kite competition for the workmanship! as a seasoned kite maker myself, i am shame of the person who sew this together. guess you get to do the job fast to earn a living, some corner has be cut. anyway, it will not affect the flight. as it is bird kite, it is not launch and left it alone kind of flying. it requires a lot tlc to keep it in the sky. a fast paying flying wheel is recommended for any this kind kite. just ordered one from the same site. works great. if the bird dive, run toward it and at same time pay out line. once it recovers, tight the line up. keep no slack in the fly ling and constant tension. it is a lot of fun. a blast to fly. go fly a kite and may wind always be good.update: it was a great flyer! very easy to launch and fly straight and high. an average angle of 75 degrees. it needs tlc to bring it down. it stays up and very stable.

Grandson said it was the best present EVER! They had a blast learning to fly a kite. They went super high. The colors were bright as shown flew nicely. Very large, built well didn't take long to put together.

It was nice while it lasted. Have several products from Hengda this one not so good *. There's a plastic cross piece that broke I'd say maybe 7-10 miles an hour Wind if that. I would like to get these people to send a replacement piece but I don't know where they live--UPDATE! I found out where they live- China. So, reached out, they sent a replacement- gonna strengthen the middle piece and FLY AWAY!!!!! Great company the Kite people who sell this..

The kite is big and cool looking, and once I got it tuned up it flew well, but it required some work.In solid winds, the kite would get about 40 feet up and stall. It was facing me at a nearly 90 degree angle straight up. I finally got frustrated and brought it in and modified it a little. I figured the angles were wrong and the string was pulling the kite from a nearly 90 degree angle, so I made a new connection/pull point about 8" closer to the nose, so that it flattened out the kite some, maybe by 30 degrees or so (totally guessing), and so when the kite caught wind, it was trying to elevate itself and get lifted, instead of just pushing against the wind and staying still (or dropping). After the modification, I quickly had it up a couple hundred feet and drawing attention from everyone at the park - even a few hawks were diving in around it for a closer look.

We got this for a beach trip to Thailand. Looks cool, big, easy to fly - if there's enough wind for some white-caps - you're good to go. I thought it might be impossible to disassemble and re-use, but it's easy! and we had no trouble putting it back in it's case. Light and small enough to pack into a carry-on suitcase or backpack. Fun and great value - Highly recommended.

I thought buying this kite was the best choice of all because of the eagle's wings were so large. I purchased this for my grandson to help celebrate my nephew's birthday. But to my pure disgust, this beautiful kite almost sent me to the hospital. The instructions were terrible and the hardware was flimsy. In an attempt to assemble it, the rods had broken and caused me to have several splinters in my fingers and in the palm of hand. This kite never flew off the ground and this was a wasted purchase. I will never, ever purchase this or any other product from this company. I feel like the only thing that flew away was my money!!!!The only reason for the one-star rating is because it would not allow me to submit my review without rating it.

The kite is really big which is fantastic but after 4 minutes of flight one of the wing rods broke with barely any wind force.
