These are easy to use with the fold over handle being long instead of round. As long as you use enough flour, I haven't had any issues with sticking unlike the plastic ones I've used. I would suggest cleaning soon after use so the dough won't dry up and get stuck in crevices that are harder to clean.

Making empanadas/empanadillas is already very labor intensive. I will buy the Goya frozen discs to save time. The tool makes stuffing them so much easier because it's the same 5 inch size as the discs. I roll the discs out a little and place them into the crimper. I like the sturdiness of the tool and it cleans very easily. We'll see how durable it is but in the meantime I'm very happy.

Making empenadas is an all day affair. This tool makes it a bit easier. The edges of the bottom act as a dough cutter, making the circular cutouts the exact right size to put on top to fill & press. This ensures that if you are deep frying in hot oil both sides of the dough cook evenly. Before I press the edges together, I take a small brush and lather a bit of raw, beaten egg on the edges. It seals it like glue. Works much better than water.

The press worked OK, not the best but OK. During the third use the spot welds broke on one of the hinges, so now trashed. Bummer.

Not the best construction. It’s easy to use, and seems fine but it doesn’t seem sturdy enough. It’s also smaller than expected. Might be easy to clean, but it doesn’t seem like it’s real stainless steel. I don’t know if the seal is great but it didn’t feel storing enough. I returned it.
