It’s just like power tools. This is a necessity in every kitchen. Dumplings on demand! Whose with me and ready to eat?

I used this gadget to make a batch of potstickers using a pack of store bought Gyoza wrappers. The store bought wrappers fit perfectly. Getting used to the process helped me dial in the proportion to place into each dumpling. I think if I were to stuff these dumplings without this gadget, I'd end up over stuffing them. The pinching action did a pretty good job of sealing them up. I'd, of course, inspect each dumpling after the closing process and most had a nice edge to them. The rest were quickly fixed. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with this dumpling maker especially at the price point. I look forward to my next PotSticker Valhalla evening. My personal record is about 20 before the coma kicks in.

Wow, I followed the instructions. The only thing I did differently is use a gyoza wrap that I found at an asian grocery store. I am anxious to try making my own wraps later. If you will dip your wrap, homemade or store bought, in warm water before you fill with you favorite stuff, THEN place it in the machine you will get a great result. Personally, I spent three years in Japan as an Air Force brat and fell in love with the gyoza. That was 1967-1970. It wasn't till I got this that I found exactly gyoza I remembered. Try it out, it not only works for gyoza, I am sure it would work for any of your favorite dumpling dishes. Enjoy !

It didn’t seal the pierogi. I tried everything I could think of but ended up making the pierogi without it. It was faster and easier. In theory it’s an interesting idea but not worth your time or money.

This was a neat concept for making dumplings quickly, but the "jaws" don't squeeze the dough firmly enough, especially farther away from the center of the unit. This results in an unsealed dumpling that must be finished manually. It was better with thicker dough than thinner dough. I think you would do better with a "fold over" manual dumpling maker, where you can add your own "squeeze". I would not buy again. I ordered a set of "fold-over" ones with multiple sizes fo dumplings, empanadas, etc.

Get this one because it comes with the little round dough-cutters. You can improve performance by placing screws in the rotational centers of the outside of the rollers and tying them with wire. All in all it really works. Making pierogies (or dumplings/gyoza you do you mate) is labor intensive but this makes things a good deal easier. Mash some potatoes, sauteé some onions, sprinkle a bit of cheese and you'll never go back to Mrs T's. frozen pierogies inna box.

I hate that there are no instructions in any way shape or form. It is nice to know how to use and cleaning instructions.
