This is one if the best cowbells to play hard latin music. It will stand for years of good playing. It can fit Rock music too. Some purists don't like the yellow add, but I think is a cool Innovative gadget for an instrument that will hardly evolve. LP got 5 stars in this cowbell. Modern Sound and low dry pitch.

This thing might not be for everyone's taste, it's low and dry, but it's exactly what I was looking for. If you're going to be recording with this you pretty much need to mic it because it just disappears from the overhead mics.

Latin Percussion makes great stuff no doubt . But if you're looking for just one cowbell , I would get the Rock Ridge Rider . (LP008) . This one , the Classic Rock Ridge Rider (LP009) has a lower tone (Almost too low) and since it has a virtually "Flat" surface top and bottom as opposed to the "Curved" upper and lower surface that the (LP008) has , it contributes to more "Ring" in the sound which in my opinion needs to be dampened down . I have both units and prefer the (LP008) . Percussion is a personal taste but my suggestion is , if you're only buying one , the LP008 with the Red play bar , over the LP009 with the YELLOW play bar . I hope my review is helpful .

Paired this Classic Rock Ridge Rider with a L'il Ridge Rider, perfect counterpoint! Love the mounting system, no chasing around while playing required! Mounted on a Yamaha CWH-940, rock solid solution!

ships with a black plastic bumper now, which is nice. it’s not the 80’s we don’t don’t need any yellow bits!it’s physically very heavy so a good bracket and solid cymbal stand is probs best to mount it!I can’t see things ending well if you mount it to a bass drum hoop - the whole kit would probs tip over 🤓guaranteed to drive your neighbours insane✌ðŸ»tonk ... tonk ... tonk ...
