Le Creuset's wine opener is very simple. There's a corkscrew attached to a plastic handle that is inserted into a plastic bottle gripper. It feels a bit flimsy, but it's never broken or given us any issues. To use it you simply place the bottle gripper over the top of a wine bottle and squeeze it in place. As you're squeezing, you twist the corkscrew into the cork and keep twisting until the cork works its way up the corkscrew. That's it. It's very easy to use and requires little effort. All in all... a simple, excellent wine opener.

I purchased this bottle opener to replace one that I have had for almost 10 years. It is so easy to use, and takes no effort at all. I love it. Not sure if it will last 10 years because it is made of plastic, but it is so much better than the big bulky ones. Highly recommend this opener.

Hi-ho people. How the heck are y'all doin'; staying safe I hope?😘I just LOVE the simplicity of this thing. You remove the foil off the bottle as usual, next you pull out the cork screw from where you store it, which is in the plastic base part that goes over the neck of the bottle. You then slide the base over the bottle neck/cork, making sure to sort of pull down a bit until it stops, then continue to hold it 'snug' by squeezing a bit as you insert the cork screw down the top center of the base. Make sure the screw-point is on the middle of the cork, then start to apply light pressure while turning the screw. Once the screw starts going in, no need to continue pushing down; just keep turning. When the screw can go into the cork no further, THE MAGIC HAPPENS! With every additional turn, the cork slowly draws out until POP! - IT'S OUT! BRILLIANT!!!✨🤗✨Did I mention how much I LOVE this thing?ðŸ˜I am very good using the 'common' forms of cork extractors, and they can ALL be faster than this new thing here. B U T - - - I believe that NONE of them are EASIER to use than the "Le Creuset TM100L2-31". I have NO doubt that a child could easily use it. Oh oh; hide the wines and this tool from the six-years-old!!! 😱 lolSeriously, if you have a friend or loved one who enjoys wine, THIS would make a WONDERFUL gift for him or her.

Seems flimsy but works well. Except you have to twist the cork screw alot compared to other wine openers. Kind of expensive to.

I'm writing this review with much dismay, since this Le Creuset table wine opener has been my favorite wine opener for year. These openers use to last for years. Now they are lasting an average of 6 months. I have a weekend fishing camp and home, so I always have two. I'm wondering if the manufacturer has changed the formula for the plastic. I have had to buy three in the last 18 months. At first I thought it was a fluke the first one broke. I figured maybe someone dropped it and was predisposed to a crack.. But, last night again I have broken a 4th open before I barely put pressure on it. This one is maybe 3 months old. I went onto Amazon to verify how long the life span is of these. openers are lasting. These wine openers are breaking exactly the same way. At the location of where the corkscrew goes in at the very top of device, it has clean breaks.Sadly, I am replacing this wine opener on Amazon. I just purchased the Piedmont ($11.75 with a 4.8 star out of 238) and a good old fashion silver butterfly corkscrew by Topbest ($8.99 with a 4.4 star review our 42).My kids all tease me that I don't use their new high tech wine openers- but I like the feel of opening a nice bottle of wine.

It's so simple. Smooth action and it works like a charm. Foolproof. It's all plastic. Just center the corkscrew in the middle of the cork holding the flanged sides of the opener firmly against the bottle and drive the corkscrew in as far as it will go, release the your grip in the sides and just pull gently straight up. Cork ALWAYS comes right out. Feels like it wouldn't work, but it really does. Don't waste your money on the expensive fancy models. They do not work nearly as smooth and they always break. Will never buy any other wine opener. This one is the one.

This is so easy to use!! I wished I would have bought this years ago. It seems very flimsy, but it does what it supposed to and it is so much easier than the other types of openers. Highly recommend!!!

The two parts comprising the corkscrew are hard, black, shiny plastic - very well finished. And the corkscrew works as intended, and is easy to use. A minor disappointment is that the 2-part corkscrew no longer comes with a rigid stand and cover - making it easy to store - as it did when it was made by Screwpull, but this does not affect its practicality.

Facile d'utilisation, mais inquiet car au moment de tourner pour que le bouchon s'extirpe, on sent souvent une résistance et le papillon pour tourner la vis est faible.
