As stated, a Taurus 856 with a 3 inch barrel is real loose fit for this holster. There is nearly an inch of space between the thumbstrap and the rear of the hammer. The holster is also generally too big for the gun. I like the IWB/OWB interchangeably and the belt clip seems strong enough. The snap on the thumbstrap should be about 50%-75% more positive. I can’t see anything wrong with the stitching but only time and use will tell on that.

I bought this for my Taurus 856 defender with a 3 inch barrel it can be worn as a outside or inside waistband. very soft leather with a snap strap to keep secure. I recommend this to anyone looking for a holster for this model gun.
