I got these for my orchids that were dying horribly , root bound and suffocated in a small pot given to me as a gift. I needed to save them.the clay balls are round , no breaks, 40 mins soaked in hot water, drained and mixed in a clay pot with bark and tiny bits of mossa week in my orchids began to breathe and regain areal roots. a few Months in phenomenal they are happy orchids ..this product is highly recommended they sprung up so many roots bottom and top and are firm blooming beautiful

works great since it's made of clay and weighs almost nothing, i originally started using tiny decorator rocks, but noticed once the net pot was full the roots would have a hard time getting down to the water line, plus the heavier the mass in water the more water is displaced, the clay weighs virtually nothing and remember to rinse before use.

The hydroponic grow media arrived on time and is in good shape. However, the bag that it came in did rip open so the individual media balls were rolling around the box. None of them escaped the box though so that was fine. I only had one problem with the product, which was that it had a lot of fine particle and dust from the product itself. In other words it was really dirty. I had to wash it and rinse it off about 5 or 6 times until it was clean. The only reason this mattered is that I used it for aquaponics. If I would have left it, my fish tank would have became extremely cloudy. It would have been fine if I strictly used it for hydroponics. Other than that it has been a great product. It holds air really well, is durable, and makes a good grow media for plants.I recommend this product to all hydroponic users. The only reason I gave it four stars was because it was dirty. I would have gave it five stars if I used it for hydroponics for sure because it is a good product and I bought it at a good price.

Very satisfied with these clay media. Various sizes hold my plants well. No problems in my hydro setup. As with all clay media, let it soak over night and rinse well and you will have no problems with clogged lines. 100% satisfied

The size of the stones are just as pictured. I did water my orchid from the bottom and the leca did absorb it as stated. So far I am pleased with this item.

It's fine, but the diameter is much bigger than what's shown in the picture. Because of that, I couldn't use it for what I'd planned. But, it was less dusty and didn't require as much rinsing as I expected.

This media allows plenty of freedom for roots in my system. When I choose to transplant to the soil from my hydroponics, the clay balls shake out of the roots easily. I rinse and dry them off, then they're ready for reuse. I'm not sure how many uses they'll be good for, but I'm happy with them enough to return to purchase more in the future.
