I ordered this tumbler and a piece broke in the first two weeks. Frustrated, I left negative feedback/review. I have since changed my mind. The folks at Leegol were quick to respond to my issue and sent me a new tumbler. It has performed wonderfully! I am very satisfied with their customer service as well as this tumbler! it deserves a much better rating.

So we got this tumbler and the first 2 weeks it worked great. Then we switched out the median to the next step. The next day we heard it in the garage and knew something was wrong because it was louder then usual. Well the nut that holds down the lid had backed off and the lid came off. The qhole garage was covered in dust. The splatter you see in one of the pics is after I tried hosing everything off. So I set the thing up again, this time I added another washer and nut above the nut so it couldn't back off. Started it uo and you can see that the plastic lid broke were the nut was. And on top of that there is a 4 inch crack in the bottom of the bowl. I took a pic of the rocks that were in it. It's only about 5lbs worth. For $180 I would expect something that would last longer then a few weeks. Dont buy this garbage.

This is a great tumbler with a large capacity! The only concern is the amount of water that leaked out of mine from the bottom was a decent amount! Be warned put somewhere that you don't mind getting wet.

Excellent quality materials and craftmanship at a reasonable price. Works much faster than a roller-style rock polisher with 3 huge benefits:1. Super quite, fully loaded it sounds like a dish washer.2. Better results in 2 days compared to 2 weeks in a noisier roller-style rock polisher.3. The ultrasonic vibration method does not smooth the edges of the rocks so you get a highly polished specimen that looks more like its original shape. You can pay more but why would you. Highly recommended.

I've now had two of these fail on me after numerous issues. The first one failed fully after the threaded stem snapped at the base of the bowl. The second one suffered a cracked bowl. Both leaked excessively as the threading wore at the point the lock nut sat resulting in the lid becoming loose and wallard out, neither of them had a correctly fitting lid beyond the first two days of use. Also the rubber gasket is in no way secured and often falls off when manipulating the lid. This product was used for rock tumbling using wet media.

I use this to clean bolts and smaller parts for tractors I'm restoring. I add water and dish soap when vibrating. The crushed wallnut shells it comes with are for polishing and you will need different media for cleaning rust and paint off metal. The vibrator is well built. The motor is very heavy.

Much much louder than I thought it would be and after nearly two weeks of my first batch of rocks in the tumbler I really thought they'd be further along than they are.

I was sceptical for to some reviews however I have tumbled over 30 pounds of rough semi precious stone in this without one problem. This was my first time to use a tumbler and this equipment is great quality.

This is a reasonable unit for the price but you probably should only use it with dry media like walnut shells (plus polishing agent, like a ground-up polishing/buffing bar, the included shells alone won’t do much) or plastic beads with abrasive. The problem is if you add fluid you can easily exceed the 18lb load if you fill it 2/3 full, and then the plastic tub will be under too much stress. Units designed for wet media have much tougher (and more expensive…) rubber tubs. It also clearly states in the manual not to use it for heavy media like ceramics or steel pins. However, for lightweight dry media it’s quite useful and compared to a rotary tumbler relatively quiet: I can’t hear it past a closed door. I did have a problem with the drain hose (which isn’t needed for dry media…) clogging up with media so I wish they included a simple cap for this case.

Extremely noisy...not for using at home!
