I have been running this tumbler for a month now. I am very pleased so far. It's also fairly quiet for a tumbler.

Loud, the tumblers were slick and initially after lubricating the shafts with 3 drops of oil. The tumblers would not turn. Initial try was 1/2 full. Emptied tumblers, filled with H20, and tumble media to 1/2 full, and restarted. Tumblers styill would not turn. The shaft was spinning but the tumblers just sat. Tentioned the belts to the motor and still the tumblers just sat. The coating on the outside was slick. Washed the outside of the tumbler with soap and water. Still just sat on the spinning rod. Had to get 2 rubber bands and put them around the drums, to get them to spin. It has run for 5 hours, the motor is hot. The support roller, has stopped turning and after disassembly of the plastic bearing assembly, the bearing appears to have partially degraded or warped. The drums are now turning, but they are hopping and bouncing since the support roller still wont turn with out direct hands on turning. This is not a good product. Not sure what the heck the endorsers of this see in it. Not good, will be asking for refund or replacement.

I was concerned that it wouldn't work as well as my old tumbler, but so far it's been running for about 3 weeks and is working great.

Made noise when I ran it even without rocks in the drums

I purchased another brand that only had one 2lb tumbler. It was so great and tumbling rocks became my new hobby. I soon outgrew my little machine and decided that I needed to upgrade to a larger double-barrel model. I should have taken the other reviews more seriously because I didn't expect that it would get as hot as it does.It gets SO hot, that I do not leave it running when I am not home, which is severely affecting my tumble time, and then I have to guesstimate how long my stones have been going because I have to keep turning it off to cool down. I left for work one day and got halfway there (1hr drive) when I remembered that I left it on and almost turned around to go home to turn it off. I pulled into my driveway after work "oh good my house didn't burn down." I know that sounds dramatic, but it is really not. Would you feel comfortable leaving your toaster oven on all day while you aren't home?It also does not rotate very fast, although it does move much quicker with only one barrel in place instead of the two. I don't think it is made to handle 6lbs of rocks. I have rocks that have been in there for about a month now off and on with fresh grit after each week, which is turning out to be a huge waste of grit. I know sometimes it does take that long with some stones and how picky you are, but I am about done with watching this batch with little or no improvement week after week with this slow moving tumbler. The same type of stones placed in my original tumbler are being polished now, where as the ones in this one are still on the coarse grit stage. So I guess my plan now is to rotate through the tumblers after I am finished polishing the other ones. Then I am going to buy a new one. I am very disappointed.

Love this tumbler. It has produced many nice rocks. It is not very loud.

The products don't work! The lids keep popping off. The rocks and grinding material spill out. Or, worse, the two tumbler bins freeze and the motor heats up. Terrible, terrible product!

As Long as you only put 3 lbs in each barrel it works perfect isn't to loud and didn't overheat

Had incompatible plug so used a surge protected adapter. Plugged it in and it blew up. Lasted about ten seconds. Refund now issued, thank you.
