I was going to give this a bad review because each filter only lasted a week before becoming rancid, but it turns out when I decided to pay the premium for official filters the same results occurred, lasting one week. I did everything, flipping the filters each water filling, wetting, applied bacteriostatic to the water, etc. Nothing would work for either filters. So if this is what I have to live with, then this product is absolute value in comparison to OEM.

I was worried about the quality after reading the negative reviews. After using 2, they work great and I realize most of those negative reviews must be operator errors. Can't be more straight forward than a submerged paper filter. I flip the filter over every morning when I top up the humidifier with water and it works great. Also, don't leave the humidifier on high. Low or Medium is more than enough, so that you don't dry out the filter so much, allowing the "wicking" filter to actually pull water up through it.

These humidifier cartridges out last the normal cartridges. I have hard water and with regular flipping the cartridge it will last a month before it hast to be replaced. The blue filter also clears the air.

I should have errored on the side of negative reviews that said these filters did not wick. They do wick but just not as much as the filters that came with the humidifier. The medium on these filters seem to be much more “plastic†where the original filters seem to be more paper.

These filters are a good alternative to the OEM needed for my humidifier and at a lesser cost. The size is just right, no trimming needed as I had to do with another brand earlier. They do a good job and will last several weeks provided that you turn the filter every two or three days and, this is my trick, I rinse them off with hot water to remove any calcification or scum in the sink every few days as well. This will also soften any portion of the filter that has hardened during use.

I found they work just fine. Lot less then factory filters. About $5.00 less on each. I change each Month because I use my humididiers alot. Quality is a little less but still work just fine.
