This wheel is better than the $20+ diablo wheels. It cuts well. I use it for brass, copper and nickel silver.

I have always used those thin abrasive cut off wheels for cutting metal. Going through several every job, cost really adds up. More importantly they are very dangerous shedding pieces, into your skin! Those days are over. Since I have found these I will never use or buy anything other than this style cutting wheel. Cuts really well. Can also do light grinding. Most important they don't break or shead pieces making them soo much safer. Also last a LONG time! Love this product!

Excellent cutting abilities compared to the standard cutoff wheels you may be used to. They of course cost a bit more but I have used only one of these so far and am happy to say, I have not had to replace it because it was completely worn down to the size of a silver dollar due to wear like the others I have experienced. It does save time and allows continued cutting without having to change the wheel quite as often. I usually buy a ten-pack of standard cutoff wheels, and I still have them but haven't used one since I bought this.

I used this to make several cuts in sheetmetal and aluminum angle bar. Did well on sheetmetal and it was much cleaner since the blade doesn't degrade and consume. 1/8" aluminum was much harder to cut but it worked. I noticed that the blade still looked good when I finished.

Pros: Superior, in many ways. This lasts far longer than abrasive cut off wheels, discs, and other Sawzall blades for sure. Extremely fast on smaller stock. Old but still new technology- Carbide toothed blades should be outdated, and spit shards of sharp metal into your face or hands even with serious PPE.Cons (although trivial) : It will make the metal (if its over 3/16ths) so hot you cannot touch it. Any metal gets hot through cutting, unless on a mill bandsaw. On 1/4" stock it will leave a burr of about 1/4" wide. Not a big deal. Lennox has always made the best metal cutting blades out there, and it makes short work of steel and lasts ridiculously long. It will cut through 3/4 as well...It takes about 3 to 4 cuts through 1/4" cold rolled steel to dull the best Sawzall blade, I've made at the least about 30 to 40 cuts through 1/4" thick angle iron and no signs of dulling yet.

As compared to cut-off discs, this cuts pretty slow. The only upside is the lack of debris from the cut-off discs as they wear out. From the get-go is was surprised how slow this blade cut steel so it cuts that way out of the box. I wont be buying another but instead i'll order more cut-off discs.
