This lens hood is the perfect match for my Canon RF 16mm F2.8 STM lens on my EOS R camera. It does a fantastic job of blocking out unwanted glare and improving contrast, especially during bright outdoor shoots. The reversible design is super convenient for storage—it doesn’t take up extra space in my bag. It fits snugly without wobbling, and the build quality feels durable yet lightweight. Whether you’re shooting landscapes or street photography, this hood is a simple but essential tool for getting sharper, more vibrant photos. Highly recommended for Canon RF lens users!

The 16mm lens is so wide that it usually necessitates using a hood to prevent flare. This works fine and is a lot cheaper than the Canon version.

This fits and works on the Canon RF 16 mm lens perfectly. And it seems like the same high-quality plastic that Canon uses. No need to buy a more expensive Canon hood when this one is available.

consumer grade RF lenses do not come with lens hoods. These are a much better bargain and work just as well as buying an optional one from Canon.

Save yourself some $$$ and enjoy this lens hood. No corner cut off on full frame R6.

I recently purchased the Canon RF 16mm but a lens hood was not provided in the package. Canon's EW-65C Lens Hood costs about 3x as much so this was a good alternative. The build is pretty solid and probably comparable to other brands (although I've only used JJC replacement hoods in the past). One problem is that the focus/control ring on the lens is inaccessible when the lens hood is faced in but this is a problem with the lens design rather than the hood design. Because of this, I keep mine faced out at al times and it gets quite abused. A small corner got scratched/dented but since it costs 1/3 of the Canon hood, I don't feel as bad about abusing it.

This is the first time I have ever used a lens hood that wasn't from the manufacture of the lens itself. I have to say, I'm very pleased so far. It went on really well and the first few times I used it it was pretty stiff/hard to remove, but now it's loosened up a bit. The new Canon hoods have a button that you press to take them on and off, this one does not, it just turns and clicks into place like the older Canon hoods, but still seems to work well. Time will tell if it holds up, but at about 1/4th the price of the Canon replacement I would say its been well worth it so far.

Same quality as the official Canon lens hood but at a fraction of the cost.

Un peu plus large que l'original mais le pare-soleil tient bien en place.

I think something heaving squashed it or someone stepped on it. It doesn't fit properly on the camera.

Fit perfectly Canon RF16mm 2.8f and you can still put a filter and your lens cap back on without problems.
