Please clean it in hot water after grating the cheese, the cheese will melt in the hot water and won't stay on the drums, then wash it with a sponge for better cleaning results.

I ordered a less expensive grater made by another company and the handle broke off the first time I used it. This product is sturdy, easy to clean and works as expected.

This is just like the one I grew up using. After reading reviews I decided to get the higher rated plastic one. Used it once and ordered this one instead. It's much more sturdy and functional. Easy to clean and easy to store. Not that it spends much time in a drawer.

I wanted stainless steel, not plastic. However, this one is flimsy overall, and the push mechanism isn't the best, making it difficult to push the cheese against the drum. If I had known that, I would have gone with plastic.

The part that holds the cheese down catches on the sides and the handle is hard to turn.

The design of the grater needs work… every round you smack your knuckles and that causes you to loose your momentum. I would have returned this grater if I had used it in time but alas I didn’t use it until recently. It’s sleek and easy to wash but hard to use with any efficiency.

Poor quality metal which catches on the drum when turning the handle of the grater. Very disappointed,
