First off, let me say that I am a professional cleaner and I use one of these Libman Dust Pans five days a week for hours at a time.Why do I recommed this model? There are a few features that make this style the best for professional work. 1) The cover closes completely over the dirt and debris inside each time you pick it up. This is important when you are working in high end interior cleaning situations. 2) The handle and the cover are sturdy and have easily stood up to thousands of opens and closes. 3) The hand grip at the top is easy to hold and has raised bumps that keep it from slipping out of my hand. 4) It works equally well inside with dust and hair or outside with leaves, cigarette butts, and smaller garbage. The dust pan has a decently large capacity for holding dirt, and is easy to empty by simply holding it open over a garbage can or dumpster. The "lip" part of the pan fits snugly with smooth surfaces such as finished concrete, wood, vinyl and ceramic tiles. I also use it outside on brick pathways and exposed aggregate curbs and gutters. The materials used in construction are; metal for the upright handle, and the rest is heavy guage plastic. There are also plastic "teeth" that stick out from the top of the dust pan that allow you to grab dust bunnies and hair off the bristles of your broom. I use these all the time, my only wish is that they were a little closer together because, at times, the longer hairs and fibers will just stick to the broom despite running them through the "teeth." Other handy features to note: there is a removable plastic clip that allows you to attach the special lobby broom to the handle which makes for a neat and compact unit to store in a closet. Mine included the smaller sized lobby broom which works great for quick clean ups. For day to day use I pair it with a full sized broom to save my back from excessive bending and giving me additonal leverage and power to sweep the debris in the dust pan. It stands up well on it's own, resting against the ground, so you can gather up your mess and sweep it all in at one time. I highly recommend this Lobby Dustpan and Broom set for any situation where you want to sweep floors quickly, neatly and with a professional appearance. Using two sets for our restaurant. This fits nicely under our bar ready for use. True is is a little short handled. We shrimps find it perfect but if you are 5"10+ it might feel short. It's grate not to have to look all over for the dust pan and then the broom because they are always together.

I have ordered this product 2 different times, and both times they came BROKEN,beyond repair or even use...! So this is the second time that we are returning the items that we need and ordered!The items are so Poorly packaged, that I can't really say if the product is good or if it even works?Like to keep my purchases from USA Co. as well as made in the USA, so we'll keep looking.But like in Baseball, maybe I should give them 1 more try? ( it's only 2 strikes) So I may try calling Monday to see what they say.

The broom is about 3ft total. Does not extend. It’s the size of a child’s toy. Dustpan is great but I ended up finding it in Kroger for $15. Trying to use this broom will hurt your back. Waste of money

I wondered why it was so expensive; there's two in the pkg. If you own a dog this a must. Very sturdy and works well.

I wanted this closed lid dust pan to prevent pet hairs from flying around when I do daily sweeping in the house. I have two dogs that shed a lot and this works perfect for a quick daily sweep. I use the 2nd dust pan for outside. It keeps the rubbish from blowing out of the pan on windy days. They are well made.
