How to Clean a Flute: Disassembling the flute

Separate the flute into its three sections, head joint, main body, and foot joint. Be sure not to touch the keys or keypads because these can easily be damaged.

The cleaning cloth is not soft as I expected it to be, it’s a bit rough. Also the swab cleaning cloth with the oval cloth on top, was squished when it came in, but I just fluffed it up a bit and it was fine. :) But other than that the whole kit is nice !

The cleaning rod works, however, it doesn’t store well in the case. It should fit inside the body of the flute and it is too long. So you may not be able to leave it in the case when it is taken to school. So that is not very convenient. We did end up buying a different cleaning kit locally that fit inside the flute and case.
