My granddaughter, age 4, lost interest in her training wheels bike when we purchased this balance bike. This bike was perfect. Within a few days she had learned to balance and is now ready for a regular two wheel bike.Plus, she has so much fun riding it she rides it around inside of the house as well.

The bike goes together pretty easily and I barely needed the instructions. It came with the tools you need to construct it but the locking latches they use for the handle bars and seat are really hard to tighten enough to make sure the handle bars and seat stay in the position you put them in. These locking latches require enough pressure to crimp the end of the pipe that the handle bars and seat go into so that they hold them firmly in place, so it can take a good bit of effort to get it right. Once you get past that though everything else is a breeze and your kid can be riding in no time. The wheels light up and at first I was worried that because my nephew is 3 he wouldn't be able to go fast enough to engage the LEDs but the wheels barely have to turn and the LEDs activate immediately. The wheels are solid so no need to worry about air. I'm not too sure how I feel about the LEDs in the tires because they don't have any replaceable batteries and when they die they can just never be used again so that's kind of strange. It's a very good balance bike for the price and I think any toddler would like it and have a fun time learning how to ride.

Was afraid I made a mistake but oh was I mistaken. The granddaughter is loving it and will be able to transition from this to regular bike much sooner than the others did.

I have no dislikes. But, there are many likes. My three-year-old granddaughter is in love with this bike. She can ride it in the house, at the barn and horse shows. She had gained much confidence in riding it and she can move pretty fast too. It's most beloved birthday gift.
