this rug is so thin, other rugs just like this one had some kind of padding. this one has none and sheds like crazy also smells funky. ik rugs have the usual chemical smell which didn’t bother me it was gone within a few hrs. this rug tho just has a constant funky smell and looked discolored on the under side. returned immediately because i will not let my 4yr old play on it

I wanted to love this rug because it's cute and a great fit for the Play yard. However if you have an infant this rug is probably not for you. It sheds like crazy and gets all over my 6 almost 7 month old. She's trying to learn how to crawl so she's rolling and scooting all over. The material gets in her mouth, eyes and all over her pacifier and teething rings. Not to mention it's not machine washable.

although I did not buy this for a baby, I bought for younger children, the material is super slick and a baby would fall over on it. the fuzzy material sheds and there was lint all over my house from the material shedding. It is pretty and fits relatively well in the tent, but not ideal .
