Very well made. Heavy duty, and can be heavy in your hand. The hose is nice and flexible.Occasionally at high gas flow it seems to blow itself out. It doesn't have a 'pilot' setting, so the flame is always what you have the flow valve set to.IMPORTANT: If you have used other large weed burners with a 'squeeze' handle to turn up the flame and allow you to control the output, that is not what the squeeze handle on this torch is. This has a 'dead man' valve. You have to keep it squeezed to not have the gas flow (and flame) shut completely off.I was replacing another burner that had failed, so with some fiddling I was able to use the squeeze handle from it to replace the 'dead man' handle. Now I have a pilot flame for when I don't want to burn, and can control the size of the flame by squeezing.

I purchased 6 of these for pre-heating pipe. Some seem to be okay but one of them blew the hose off as soon as the propane was turned on due to the ferrule not being crimped. But of course its not returnable. Probably better off getting a different brand due to the poor quality.

As with anything made by Lincoln Electric, this is a top notch tool. High quality and solid workmanship.Luckily for me, this arrived just in time for the Great Texas Ice Storm of '23. I was smoking a brisket so of course I had an extra propane tank on hand. My back porch had started to ice over overnight so I hooked this right up and got to melting.It worked great! It worked so great in fact, that I went out front of my house and melted a path out to my truck to grab a bag of applewood that I had left in it. I didn't need to do that of course, it was just fun. And acting crazy keeps my neighbors from talking to me, so that's a plus.Overall, this is a great tool that I didn't even know I needed until I got it. I was planning on burning weeds, never would have planned I'd use it on ice first in Texas.

When it actually lights it works well. But unbelievably frustrating to get it going. I gave up after 1/2 hour wasted today. I’m going to get a different one with a pilot light

Would prefer to give this 0 stars. Received torch but unable to use, will not work tried to light the torch per the instructions included but would not work. Unable to return item and was not offered a refund. Do not purchase this item.

I'm pleased with the quality and performance. Good tool for weeds and melting ice. We used it on the jobsite for melting ice and it was easy to use and made quick work of it. I like that the kit included a flint striker. It lights easily and consistently, sounds like a jet engine when on full blast.

This unit does not have a remote igniter. Lighting with the handheld spark igniter placed you hand to close to the flame. I replaced the unit with a remote igniter. Much safer to use.
