The Lindy Bait Tamer mesh bait bags keep live bait healthy, and can be used in fresh or saltwater. In addition to keeping minnows shrimp, leaches and other live bait strong, Bait Tamers also make it easier to handle, catch and transport bait. While in use, Bait Tamers won’t collapse, but they do fold easily for convenient storage. Bait stays secure with a Velcro opening, and the mesh construction provides 100 percent circulation and ventilation. Larger sizes double as instant portable livewells.

I bought this to keep minnows corralled in my bass boats live well for crappie and catfishing. It works perfect. It's a really clever design. Floated top and weighted bottom keeps it fully expanded. Easy access into the bag, and yet the flap won't allow bait to escape. Very happy with it.

Works great, seems durable. Most importantly for my setup, keeps leeches and blood suckers out. Fits well into a five gallon bucket for easy fill/transport/access. I have some 1 gallon bags too; this 5 gallon bag kept the minnows healthier and happier while still being a manageable size.

I bought this for kayak fishing and I've used it once so far. I'd previously been fishing using frozen squid, and my results were not great. I decided to use this bait bag and see if live bait improves my luck. This bag is a good size for bait fish, opens easily and closes securely, and floats well when I tow it behind my kayak. It kept my bait fish alive, and I caught a delicious omilu (bluefin trevally)! Now I just need to find more time to get out on the water...

GOOD BAIT HOLDER. i USE IT ON MY DOCK TO HOLD LIVE SHRIMP OVER NIGHT. BUT IF YOU LEAVE IT IN SALT WATER FOR 3+ DAYS YOU WILL GET SOME GROWTH.

While the quality was good, I was expecting a container the same size as a 5 gallon bucket which it is not. It is a good bit (coupe of inches all the way around) smaller and in that I am disappointed. Doesn't sound like much but reduces the capacity of live baits I can safely hold.

Needed something better to hold bait fish for a couple days. Was looking for something collapsible, portable, rugged, and easy to clean. This product successfully meets those criteria. Worries - I was looking for a fully submersible cage and was not sure 10 gallon would be big enough for dozen or so live bait. Both worries put to rest - floating design means I can tie to a boat cleat so it nicely goes with the tide. Size was not an issue - it has held over dozen bait fish (ex. pinfish) for several days with no die-off many times now. Will buy it again...but not anytime soon as has held up well in the sun and salt water.Update - had the first one now for over 2 years; in the water 24x7 for minimum 3 months a year. Exceeded expectations for a collapsible, portable bait cage. Only issues have been 1) an otter ripped it open (smart animals) 2) crab worked it open. In both cases it was left with bait for several days; easy fix by sewing it back up with some spare braid. Would be nice if mesh was made with an even stronger material but not complaining.

Used to have dead minnows in my bucket within a few hours, this Lindy mesh bucket works amazingly well, floats when you dont need them, and has kept my minnows alive the entire day +night.

I wish the foam at the top was removable. Had to add extra weight to get it below the ice.
