Liquitex makes some very good products. This is no exception. I use it to spread and mix large areas of acrylic paint on panels and canvases. Expensive but I have not found any substitutes but I am no longer looking, since this knife will last a long time.

Thank you for your speedy service.It's very nice painting knife but I think I should have ordered a knife in the same design but a little smaller. My hand has some trouble controlling it because of my hand and the size of the knife.

I no longer like using cotton canvas for painting because the weave makes painting details very difficult. Can't get 'clean' edges either. I started creating a smooth canvas by applying a coat of 50% Gesso/50% Modeling paste which I spread over the canvas. This knife works great for that. It's so large and flat, that you can avoid creating lines or tracks where the blade has been. I tried using a cake icing knife, but this works so much better. I also use it for just spreading gesso alone on wood canvas and it works so much better than a brush.It's very comfortable and easy to manipulate. I highly recommend it.

Great well made tool. Handle is a bit large compared to small knives, and edges are more angled than I'd like. The handle looks like a heavy duty plastic, so it won't peel. I'd buy every size if I could.

Um meine abstrakten Rakelbilder fertigen zu können, habe ich mir dieses Malmesser gegönnt.Es liegt wirklich sehr gut in der Hand, ist stabil und für den Einsatz ideal. Ich bin froh, dass ich das sehr große genommen habe, da die Einsatzmöglichkeiten so zahlreicher sind.Nach dem Gebrauch reinige ich es direkt. Gut ist dabei, dass die Metalloberfläche nicht rostet. Das kenne ich von Kellen und Spachteln, die ich ebenfalls zum Erstellen von Bildern nutze anders.Enttäuscht bin ich allerdings vom Holzgriff, wo bereits nach wenigen Einsätzen die Farbe abblättert. Der Griff wurde nach der Benutzung immer direkt trocken gemacht, daran kann es also nicht liegen.Fazit: Preis- Leistung passen aber dennoch und ich möchte es nicht mehr missen. Durchaus zu empfehlen.
