Your cart is empty.Simply place the bearing between the plastic cones, tighten, and apply grease through the fitting on the end of the threaded shaft. Forces out old grease and evenly injects fresh grease. Cone diameter is 4 1/2".

It was a cheap option with great reviews. Packed my golf cart front bearings perfectly with marine grease. No issues. Cleaned up easily. When your finished put it in a zip lock bag and your good to go until next time

Put HRUBS on a friends trailer. This will bearing Grieser put grease and all the bearings before I install them easy to use and works great.

For such an inexpensive tool, it woks well, and seems like it will last. It takes a lot of pumping with a grease gun, as the empty center of the bearing race has to fill before the grease starts to ooze out. Save some pumping by pre-filling the empty space with grease using your fingers, then use the clean leftovers to pack out the cavity inside the part housing. It is pretty economical, as you only use as much grease as you need, and don't have to fill a whole packer tub with grease. It is also handy if you need to use specific grease for different bearings.The tube the grease flows through had some aluminum drilling remnants inside from manufacturing; I unscrewed the shaft from the plastic and used compressed air to blow the leftover flashing out, which would not be great to pump into your bearing...If I had a lot of bearings to pack, I would buy a tub style packer, as I had when I was a full time mechanic. This one is great for occasional use, as it is much more work and slower than professional packers.

I purchased this after reading all the positive reviews and I must concur. This packer works excellent leaving NO air pockets in the bearing. Like the other reviewers I have done the hand packing thing Many times, too many. It took me 15 minutes per bearing, but this packer takes 15 seconds. The very best part is that the grease is not contaminated by the acid moisture of my hand. I noticed when I did the hand pack that the grease in the bearing would have a white tint from absorbing moisture. When using this packer the grease in the bearing looks just like grease in the gun. Given the price this is one of the best tool purchases in my shop.Two suggestions, purchase this packer and two find a dedicated container with a top, such as a coffee can. You know how grease is a magnet for dirt. The next time you use this tool it will be as clean as new.

Spend the extra money and get the cup style bearing packer from Lisle (about ($22.00.) This creates a big mess and doesn't save any time vs. hand packing wheel bearings. Got the job done, but not very convenient and grease everywhere.
