Your cart is empty.The Little Giant 1/6 HP 5-ASP-LL 1500 GPH continuous duty submersible utility pump comes with a piggy-back diaphragm switch than can be easily by-passed for manual operation. This low level switch activates the pump when the water level reaches 2 to 3 inches and shuts the pump off when the water falls between 0.5 and 1.5 inches. To by-pass the switch, unplug the pump from the back of the switch and plug directly into the outlet. This pump is ideal for emergency water removal, water transfer, water recirculation or hydroponic use in homes, commercial or industrial applications. It comes with a removal screen and removes water down to 1/8-inch with screen in place or 1/16-inch with the screen removed. This pump comes equipped with an 18-foot cord. A 3/4-inch garden hose adapter is included. This unit is not designed to filter out sewage, mud, soil, or similar matter. If you are looking for a pump that can filter out sewage, mud, soil, etc., consider an effluent, sewage, or trash pump.

This is a great unit that's well named. It's a little pump that works like it's a giant, pumps water very fast, goes and goes and goes, and runs super quiet as long as there's plenty of water to be pumped. We use it to pump water out of a pool. The pump we had before (another brand) was absolutely awful. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that our Little Giant pumps 10-20 times as much volume as it did. The only negative about the Little Giant in our experience is that it makes a lot of noise if you let the water level get too low -- and, based on other reviews, apparently burns out (although that hasn't happened to us yet). I wish it cut off automatically once water got down to a certain level or, even better, gave the user a choice of how much or little water it takes to cut off. Other than that, it's incredible.Update: Shortly after we wrote the preceding review, our unit died. However, that was our fault. A company rep informed us that this unit doesn't have an automatic cutoff. So apparently it's because we (and other reviewers) didn't cut it off promptly when the water level got below a certain level that it burned out. There's another slightly more expensive unit they produce with an automatic cutoff. I'll give them a call again and post the model # when I have time. P.S. Although I wish I had known that this unit doesn't have an automatic cutoff, I would still give it five stars. Kudos to the manufacturer. It's a great little powerhouse of a unit.

I have worked in the pool business for 20+ years. As a in-ground concrete pool builder. As far back as I can remember I remember using the light blue Little Giant pumps (all different sizes) . These pumps can take a beating and keep pumping.It wasn’t until I moved in a new house that I needed a pump for a section of driveway that floods. I originally went with the #1 selling pump on Amazon (not Little Giant). The other pump stocked working after 10 minutes. After trying to “reset it†and dry out the pump, it started working again. However, it failed again after 5-6 minutes. After that it would not turn on. I was honestly shocked how terrible and unreliable the other pump was. I returned the pump (I believe I tested and returned the pump within 24 hours of receiving it). The Little Giant pumps are more expensive but after being frustrated with the other pump and my experience with Little Giant pumps I knew I just needed to pay the extra to have the peace of mind of a reliable pump.If you are on the fence. Know that professionals use Little Giant pumps for a reason. They work.

I hear a drip. Thats not good. Head to my basement. Realize the drip is my crawlspace (I can hear it because my crawlspace floor is covered in plastic. Pull off my crawlspace door to see a giant moat of sewage. Oh crap.I needed to get that frothy chocolate mess gone. Checked all my local hardware and big box stores and I could find either no pumps or $500 ones. Looked on Amazon and found this one and with same day delivery. (Cue angelic voices). Pump arrived and I was able pump several weeks (months?) worth of our family's filth down our utility sink drain.Pump is very well made (just feels quality), had no issues with setup or making it work. Good flow and had no trouble with some small...uh...solids.The situation really sucked but this pump sucked to make it suck less. I'd post a picture...but no one wants to see that.

just purchased a few weeks ago and this pump is so amazing, looks small but does a powerful job at a super price compared to others on the market. our pool water level leaked through a filter problem and lost several inches of water. this little guy took care of refilling our pool in just a few hours from other water resources located nearby. i'm sure it will last for a long time.

Little Giant always works good for our pool cover - love the float that has the double plug - one that runs the pump continuous - other that only runs when there is water to pump out. Only draw back this Little Giant has a shorter plug cord so we have to run an extension cord - its shorter than the last three that we bought so not sure if they are just cheaping up the product or if they had a different option that I didn't see.

Works great. Emptied 7 person spa quickly - between 30-60 min if I recall.Quiet.Only con is there is no switch to stop when it runs dry so you have to babysit it at the end.There is an optional switch for it but it’s more than the pump…. So just look for a pump with the switch if that’s a big deal.It does suck up to under an inch of water at the end so it’s pretty good. I just finished up with a shop vac wet/dry.Would buy again. Great value. Seems solid.

Excelente potencia, la uso para reutilizar el agua en la lavadora, para drenar la cirterna y una piscina pequeña de 2000 L con excelentes resultados. Se siente de muy buena calidad, silenciosa. Solo le faltan los conectores para la manguera qué vayas usar. Tienes que comprarlos por separado

Used this pump for the sump pit at the pool - fits perfectly and discahrges water reliably - had same brand for 20 years until it tired out - the pricing on Amazon at least $100 less than the same replacement pump at the pool supply company.
