This is my 3rd Lixit wide mouth water bottle. My other two were smaller than this one and had zero problems with dripping/leaking. This bottle is larger, I think for guinea pigs though I purchased for my hamster. I had to try several times to properly fill and seal this bottle so that it didn't have a rapid dripping happening. If this hadn't been my 3rd bottle I probably would have been frustrated and given up. These bottles will drip if a vacuum isn't properly created. I really had to fill this thing ALL THE WAY, to where the surface tension of the water hadn't quite broken and was a little rounded at the top of the bottle, and I had to tilt it so that there were no air bubbles anywhere in the bottle. Once that was done, no more dripping, and the water only flowed when the bottle was being used.So, these wide mouth bottles are still my favorite. They're super easy to clean and my hamster is able to easily and appropriately drink enough water. Some water bottles are just too hard for her to drink from. BTW, this is my 3rd because I have 3 cages. These bottles last a long time!

Initially, there was a small drip when I tipped the bottle but that is expected. I have had them up all day and not one drip (I ordered two and neither has leaked). I’d recommend this brand!

Easy installation. Water flow is good with no leaking as long as you follow the proper instructions. Bottles must be filled completely with no air in them so they won’t leak.

I don't know if my guineas are just aggressive, but they can get pretty loud when they drink. Not sure if that is the bottle or the babies.This is a very large size so I don't have to refill it constantly. It's a great size for my 2x large guineas.It doesn't appear to leak too much, unless they're playing with it. Which they do.

I bought this bottle almost two years ago I swap it out with a handful of other bottles. I have been unsuccessful in finding a water bottle that does not leak but that hangs via a metal hanger. This one leaks pretty bad, which is unfortunate, because it is the easiest to clean being wide mouthed. Be aware that it does not fit into the lixit metal hanger, because it is too wide.I wouldn't buy again

We bought our Parrotlet from a breeder who had taught him to drink of out these Lixit bottles. So we had to buy them for our birds since it was already used to that. It turned out to be a good thing because we don't have to change dirty water dishes which birds always poop in. He can't poop in the Lixit so it's great. It gives him the water he needs and does not leak out all over the cage. He loves his lixit bottle, he likes to look at his reflection in the steel tube and I think he thinks he's feeding from another bird or something. It's been great when we go on vacation. We leave 2 or 3 bottles on the cage and it gives him enough water, to get through a 2 week vacation. We've never had the bottles leak out. They are soooo easy to clean, just put them in the top shelf of the dishwasher and that's all you need to do, gets them really clean. The bottle is easy to hang. We have been very happy with Lixit bottles, would buy again.

size is big and material is stable. My guinea pig takes 3-4 days to eat up the whole bottle. i love the size and it's perfect for my 4-yr guinea pig.

I bought two of these to test before purchasing a larger amount. One works great and the other one drips non-stop. I am a little disappointment in the defective one.

Too small for our two guinea pigs or rabbit. Would probably be great for a hamster, gerbil or mouse. Very thick and study construction, good quality!

Emptied its full contents into my guinea pigs cage overnight BUT it is easy to clean, high volume, sturdy and if it didn't drip continuously then I'd be happy with it. Quite annoyed as it had some good reviews.
