fits perfectly and looks nice. matches the black side rails. some people said after installing a roof rack the car makes sounds while driving, whistling noises. this rack did not make any noise or any noticable, while driving local or on the freeway.feels really sturdy, requires a hex tool to install but a small L shape one is provided to you. easy to stall. i did it by myself and it only took me 40mins. very happy with purchase

Purchased for our ford explorer. Worked great. No issues. We put one of those containers on top of the racks and put most of our ski clothes, helmets and gear along with some luggage!

The crossbars kit was pretty easy to install. One of the “load†t-nuts broke when I applied too much torque. The vendor’s representative was very kind and shipped 2 replacements quickly. I also found a suitable replacement at my local Lowe’s. The crossbars make almost no noise in either the “stow†or “load†positions. The bars are an excellent value overall.

I received these crossbars in the mail late on May 1. I went out the next morning and installed these crossbars on my 2017 Ford Explorer XLT. It only took me about 30 minutes and I am delighted that they fit perfectly.I am especially pleased that the front bar and rear bar are clearly marked as such, and each bar is clearly marked with a large arrow that indicates which side of the bar faces towards the front of the vehicle. Likewise, the left side of each bar and the right side of each bar are clearly marked (see photo).Also, by inserting but not fully tightening the screws, each cross bar can slide back and forth in the screw slots to be certain that you have a tight and square mount at each point on the bar.Adhesive pads are included to protect the vehicle's finish where the crossbars come in contact with the vehicle's side bars.Once I got each bar positioned where I wanted it and added the adhesive pads, then it was just a matter of tightening down all eight screws on each bar with the two included Allen wrenches.I found the instruction sheet difficult to understand because it is just drawings with minimal written instructions. I would prefer a written explanation of what to do, but as it turned out, assembly and installation was quite easy.
