The clips arrived very quickly and were packaged well. The springs on the retention bar are quite strong and the thumb screw latching mechanism is easy to manipulate, greatly increasing the strength of the overall clasp rating.The quality and construction is very good and the carabiners do appear to be quite strong and very dependable.Granted, these are not climbing clips, but for secure applications around the business, home or shop, they're absolutely perfect!

My dog has broken several leads as well as several metal clips, she doesnt even really try to but if she gets the slightest bit wrapped around something and thinks she can run farther than she can, her body weight can just snap something especially over time.Finally got a heavy duty enough 100ft lead with a very strong carabiner that's held up well, and I needed more carabiners of the same strength because she has to wear 2 collars when on the lead because she can occasionally bust the metal on her collar too by accident. These are the EXACT same strength as the ones that came with the heavy duty lead, and they lock WELL, and have solved all my problems for if I want to let her run the yard for a few hours while I go for an errand without worrying I'm going to first her in the street when I come home.Have been using them for about a month now and they're in perfect shape.

Nice quality, smooth surfaces, screw lock mechanism works well and they have a distinctive look which is important in my situation.Remarkable how my 55,000 square foot gym never seems to have enough cable machine handles, the ones they do have are either missing, falling apart or invariably filthy and the machine attachment carabiners are always missing, bent or don’t latch properly.So I bring my own handles and carabiners. I like these particular locking carabiners because they work great and they don’t look like the carabiners the gym uses.That latter point is important because I used to use carabiners from Amazon that looked exactly like the ones the gym uses. That was a mistake.There’s always that one busybody do-gooder gym member who tells me not to steal the carabiners that I brought. That doesn’t happen anymore with these locking carabiners.It’s also harder to accidentally leave these locking models on a machine and you can spot them 15 feet away.I know this is an somewhat unique review and use for this product but I hope it helps!

Bought these forcquick connect of rope railing on our shore deck. They don't claim that it's for salt water use but thought it would work. After six weeks the hinge sticks. Think a good squirt of fluid film will get it working again.

They are decent construction but are very unlikely to be stainless steel!Most austenitic stainless steel are non-magnetic due to the greater presence of austenite. Even though stainless steel grades such as 304 and 316 stainless steel have high amounts of iron in their chemical composition, austenite renders them non-ferromagnetic.
