I would be delighted to write a positive review of Lock-Jaw HEX 50mm, which is an outstanding product for weightlifters of all levels!As someone who frequents the gym and has lifted heavy weights for years, I can attest that finding the right collars for my barbell has been a challenge. My gym does not have flush callers, only spring-loaded callers, and the movement of the "slop" on the plates can be very disorienting, especially when attempting to squat close to 600 pounds. This is where Lock-Jaw HEX 50mm has been an absolute game-changer for me.The fact that these collars are flush helps to solve the disorientation problem that I have faced in the past. The movement of the barbell feels much more stable and secure with these collars, which has allowed me to focus on my form and technique during my lifts.In the past, I have purchased other collars that have a rubber gasket on the inside. While they were affordable, over time, especially when leaving them in a cold car overnight, the gasket began to break down, making it increasingly difficult to get the collar on the barbell. This is not an issue with the Lock-Jaw HEX 50mm collars, as they do not have a rubber insert. They are well worth the additional price, as I have a feeling that these will last for an extremely long time and they won't have to be replaced every few years like the rubber gasket-style collars.Overall, I would highly recommend Lock-Jaw HEX 50mm collars to anyone who is looking for an excellent product that is both reliable and easy to use. These are great barbell collars that hold very strong to your bar. They are easy to lock/unlock and they look nice. The only drawback is that they are a bit low profile, and for most Olympic weights, that is not a problem however, I have one set of plates that are a bit out of spec with the side that interacts with the collar not being flat, and these collars do not hold this one particular set of plates very securely. That wont be the case with just about any other plates I've used in my life, but I'm throwing it out there to consider before you might purchase one of these. Again, these work amazingly with every other plate I own.

These are strong and easy to use. They hold pretty the weight in place with no issues in my experience. Compared to the top brands, you can't ask for a better product at a better price. I recommend.

Disappointed in the long-term durability of these and also have not received a contact back when I asked whether there any amend to replace itEdit: It took a few days for customer service but they replaced it via their website!

I have had many barbell collars that are hard to clip or unclip. This one is durable and easy to clip and unclip. I also love that they come in a variety of colors.

The first thing I do before purchasing a product is to read the negative reviews. I want to know what I may not like about the product. For this product, I do not understand the negative reviews. I have been using this product 3 days/week for the past year and have had no trouble with them. They slide on a 2 inch Olympic bar (although I do have to hold them open to get them to slide easily) and they lock securely every time. I am lifting fairly heavy weight (up to 500 pounds on a dead lift) but I am not dropping my weights on the floor from chest height like other people who submit negative reviews. I keep them in the trunk of my car. I have noticed that on warm days, they close more easily than on cold days. This is likely because of the expansion or contraction of the plastic based on temperature. I am 100% happy I bought these. I no longer have to search at the gym for functional collars. They stay securely on the bar and hold my weight in place. For less than $20, this is an excellent collar. If and when mine ever need replaced, I will be buying these again.Update July 2020: Someone saw my collars the other day at the gym and asked where I got them. I tell everyone to look on Amazon but I gave him my collars and I bought these again for myself. I'll keep buying these until they don't make them anymore. That's how much I love them!

These have been my all time best collars. Fit all the barbells that i have. Easy on and easy off. I had a pair that worked just like these, but the grip gave out with a month

Seem to lock on solid and have not let me down when deadlifting 400 pounds. For my requirements in my garage gym they seem just fine.

These are so much easier to use than the crappy spring ones at most gyms. Super easy to get on and off the bar. Great quality and exactly as shown.
