Little suspicious about not having a lock/click bit but they work well and clamp snugly. Quality feels good. They do weigh 1lbs per pair so I guess you can add 1lbs extra to your pr’s.

I thought a set of plastic collars would be a lot flimsier but these things are surprisingly heavy duty. I expect these to last as long as I'll need them. Honestly don't see why you would ever need any more than these unless maybe you are doing heavy Olympic lifts and dropping the bar all the time.

I've used these multiple times a week for about 3 years. Overall they've been great. I love how easily they can be opened and closed. They certainly don't last forever though. I train in olympic weightlifting and drop the loaded bar from overhead. After 3 years, these collars can't handle it anymore. They've started to pop open when the bar is dropped, especially since I bought bouncier bumper plates. I'm hesitating to buy these again, but overall they are a good deal.

I saw these recommended on a YouTube video and took a chance, wanting a decent option for my first home gym. After using them for weeks now, I can say that I can’t imagine a better design, especially when considering how easy they are to use. Can’t ask for more and a reasonable price is helpful. Totally functional.
