I purchased this kit and a few extra "Hose End Adapters with Tabs" to attach to my drill press, band saw and bench top circular/belt sander to supply primary or secondary dust collection by connecting my Ridgid 2.5" shop vac. and hose. The hose and accessories are versatile, and using existing features on my power equipment, all three worked out great. This Loc-Line kit provides the basic dust collection components, but most consumers will need to design some type of interface, bracket, or fitting to connect the Loc-Line pieces to their equipment. I was able to design and 3-D print various adapter pieces that worked for my different machines. If you have access to a 3-D printer, the 3-D object files to these adapters can be downloaded for free. Just search: "Drill Press Clamp/Bracket, 3" Post - for Loc-Line 2.5" Vac. Adapter" , "Clamping Right Angle Bracket, 1/2" Dia. Rod/Shaft, for Loc-Line Vac. Adapt." and "Clamping Straight Bracket, 1/2" Dia. Rod/Shaft, for Loc-Line Vac. Adapt." All in all, I am pleased with this Loc-Line Shop Vacuum kit. I have used all three of the machines and the dust collection works great. I did a considerable quantity of drilling (Forstner bit - lots of wood & Styrofoam shavings) and band saw cutting (wood and Styrofoam). The clean up was minimal. The Loc-Line products are a little expensive (for plastic pieces, but they work and they saved me a lot of time making my own pieces. Two thumbs up.

WORKS VERY WELL as dust collection - when properly mounted. The two screw plastic tab on the hose mount seemed too flimsy for me so I made a snug fitting mount out of birch plywood and secured the mount in it with hotmelt glue. (4 out of 5 stars for this reason)See photos.This provided a very secure mount that did not stress the mounting tab.This assembly is stiff and DOES NOT SAG!! ðŸ‘ðŸ¼You do need to apply some real force to connect sections and to connect or remove the dust collection tips. However, it is not unreasonable.Also, I had to add an additional length of, the tubing (Loc-Line-81202) to get the flex I needed to reach the chuck of my drill press.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Although this product is a bit "pricey", it did what no other dust extraction hose could do! When you don't need it, you can swivel it out of your way. When you need it, swing it where you need it and it won't budge until you move it. All other hoses made for dust extraction are too limp and require additional make-shift braces/brackets to place it where you want it. They either have to be made on a CNC you own or purchased from someone who makes them on a CNC and sells them. The hoses do a great job connecting to a 2.5" shop vac or other dust extraction system. The kit only comes with 23" of tubing. Depending on how tightly you have to bend the tubing, you may have to purchase an additional section of tubing. I couldn't be happier with the solution. Highly recommended!!!!!

I do woodworking on the side and while I have a central dust collection system, it doesn't get sawdust that is expelled above the table. By adding a y fitting to the main vacuum line and using this device just above the blade, I now capture most of the sawdust from my saw. The articulating nature of the loc-line is solid and it does not move once in position. It does get in the way when cutting narrow strips, but that has nothing to do with design of the product. When not in use, you can simply pivot this out of the way.

It works fine, even though it's not easy to mount at all. I've had to make custom brackets since the only piece that has screw holes is not sturdy enough to support the weight of the loc-line pieces and broke after a few uses. That piece needs a longer tab and a right angle bracket would be nice too. Overall dissatisfied, wish I hadn't bought it.

The product broke within minutes of receiving it. The orange vents are pretty flimsy. The rectangle one broke when attaching it to the hose with little force. For the price I would have expected better quality, after all the materials are just plastic.

This is one of those thing you see and should immediately realize you need. Dust collection is always tough coming off of things like belt sanders and mitre saws. Having this thing flex and maintain suction to a shop vac is an excellent add on for grabbing large particles out of the air and out of my face. The molded plastic it is made of is really strong, and I keep finding more and more ways to use it in my shop. I’ll definitely be buying a second one to use

Excellent device mounted one on my drill-press and another on my router table. Position able to the work for chip and dust removal. Works well.
