I bought 2 holders, 1 for each cast iron skillet. I am very pleased with its performance. It provides excellent heat protection, allowing me to handle my hot cast iron skillet safely without any discomfort. The material is durable and easy to clean, which is a big plus. Grip is slightly lose, need to handle with caution.The Lodge Silicone Hot Handle Holder is a great product that enhances the safety and ease of using cast iron cookware. Good quality, fit my Lodge skillets perfectly. Probably won't last as long as the good old cast iron skillet, but should still last for many years. Would recommend and purchase again, does the job and saves your hands from getting burnt!

The title may seem misleading but trust me as this is my second one, the first one melted from the high heat from our gas range (flame/heat that come around the pan). We used the first one for years on electric stove tops, this never melted during that time frame. My only other complaint is that as the pan heats up the silicone handle softens and can become loose. The fit on our Logde cast iron is good but wish it was a tighter fit. Not only the heat but grease on the handle also makes it easy to come off, without this grease/oil though it would rust, hmm now that I think of it a rusty handle might add to the friction, but I know the wife wouldn't want that. Even though I didn't give it a top rating this is still a great option.

I bought this and the smaller one to try on my new 9" Lodge pan. Although the smaller one fits snugly, it's very hard to slip on and off when the pan is hot, so this larger version is honestly a better size. Another user mentioned correctly that it's a bit loose but you just want to be able to move it around the stove and lift by holding above with your palm and below with your fingers, not squeezing. The other one is perfect for my 6" so I am keeping and loving that one too. It does get a bit hot so don't put it in the oven, rather slip it on to remove the pan from the oven. Hubby didn't know this and kept it on while seasoning the pan but it was fine. It really does withstand 500F!

Works on Lodge Cast Iron Skillet handle. It fits okay but is a bit big or a bit loose so be careful when handling the skillet when it is hot. It does keep any burn possibility away from your hands, it is just a bit loose fitting. Overall I am glad I got this to help prevent burning my hands. If you do not get this you must use oven mitts or similar to prevent burning yourself. Cast Iron get very hot.

It’s a bit sloppy on the pan because it has to be able to come on and off, but it works really well. Just don’t leave it on while you cook, keep it aside and slip it on when you grab the pan or else the silicone heats up too. Good purchase.
