I've been into weightlifting since I was a kid. It's helped me to stay healthy throughout my life and as I age I've slowly shifted focus from strength training to endurance drills. I've had a number of hand grips over the years and eventually they lose tensile strength and they snap. I ordered these just as my old grip broke. I assumed they would be no different from the old one. I was wrong. My previous grips were 150 lb resistance. I have used them at that level for so long that they had become routine. I still have one of them at the level so I thought I'd ordered the 200 lb grip as a challenge. At first the grips seemed a little tight but after a few rounds they sort of "broke in" and were smoother during reps. I was pleased with the result and after alternating hands for ten minutes at 25 reps per I felt a little worn but not in a negative way.The material used with these grips are superior. I prefer the regular means of generating resistance with a coil rather than a spring. The coils just last longer as well as provide a more solid level of resistance that the spring type grips just lack. The grip has some weight to it and the heft is quite comfortable. I've owned grips with plastic handles and it just doesn't feel right. I prefer the metal base rather than just cut steel wire. It just feels more natural in the hands. While these are not through and through I've always preferred the steel handle even if it is separate from the grip and not machine knurled. The resistance on the 200 lb grip is not for beginners. It is a lot more resistant than one might think. It is not commensurate with your benching weight. You should use a pair that you can not quite close when you start out regardless of your hand strength. These grips fit that bill if you are already an experienced weight trainer. The grips do come with sleeves and while the material is comfortable I don't see them lasting the life of the grip. Without the sleeves I imagine the grip is somewhat uncomfortable particularly if you don't have calloused hands. I would suggest trying the 50 lb for beginners and the 100 lb for intermediates. The 200 lb provides more than an adequate workout for the experienced weight trainer. This series goes up to 350 lbs so if tearing phone books or sheep shearing are your thing then this series will have you covered.I was completely satisfied with my order. These grips are well made and once you find the level of resistance you require will pay dividends to realizing a proper weight training strategy. They pair well with Baoding balls in giving you the warm-up, workout, and cool down you will need to realize your goal of hand strength and flexibility. The price point is quite fair for the quality and utility that you get with this product and with that I'd recommend these to anyone wishing to further their health and keep a proper balance to the normal wear and tear of aging.

THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE WIMPY GRIP EXERCISER. THIS IS BUILT TOUGH. THE FORCE IS CLEARLY MARKED IN 2 PLACES. THE HANDLES ARE SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE CHEAP VERSIONS. THIS GRIPPER WILL GIVE YOU A REAL WORKOUT! I DID FIND THE INCLUDED RUBBER GRIPS ARE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE; THE KNOBS ARE TOO LARGE AND LEAVE A PAINFUL IMPRINT ON MY PALMS AND FINGERS. THIS IS IN NO WAY AN ISSUE, AS THE BARE GRIPS ARE ACTUALLY QUITE COMFORTABLE. THE KNURLING IS SMALL AND FINE, AND THE DEVICE LOOKS BETTER WITH BARE GRIPS ANYWAY. EXCELLENT ITEM AND EXCELLENT PACKAGING!

I did wish I had bought the set, in order to save some money but at the time only one was in my budget. Overall I like the color, it’s quite challenging so I look forward to completing it one day. It’s comfortable as it should be with enough discomfort due to the grip. Over I’m satisfied.

Feeling a bit cocky I ordered the 250 suspecting the levels might be inflated (like flimsy grips). But this grip is for real; it is kicking my backside. Very well made.

Came from 200lbs to 250lbs, I’m slowly getting closer to fully closing 250. My grip strength is definitely stronger.

It was an excellent product until after a week of use 2 out of 3 of the grip strengtheners stared to make really annoying creaking sounds
