Your cart is empty.Lokar 36 inch Hi-Tech Throttle Cable All Lokar ottle Cables are available in either stainless steel braided housing, black stainless steel braided housing or black housing. They are designed with a specially extruded liner for extended life of the cable - not to be confused with ordinary braided brake hose. The cables are equipped with aluminum fittings and aluminum ferrules to eliminate fraying. It has a "U-Cut-to-Fit" outer housing which is available in 24 inch or 36 inch lengths with a "U-Cut-to-Fit" stainless inner wire. The Clevis is designed without cotter pins or set screws. It adapts to factory and aftermarket pedals. It has custom lengths available upon request. The cables mount nicely with Lokar's array of Brackets and Return Springs (which are sold separately). The kits come complete with installation instructions.

I installed a 302 motor and an AOC transmission in my 1965 Mustang and I decided to install this cable with the Lokar pedal. The installation wasn't too hard and it works great, way better than stock and fit in the carburetor bracket with no issues.

This kit is of the same value as similar, cheaper kits. The cable and cable housing fray far more easily than expected. The cable itself broke after one day whereas regular steel cable has lasted a week so far.There are some good parts, but similarly functional ones can be found, if not in the cheaper kits, then in the local hardware store.Overall, an excessive price for something that is not special, I paid for the Lokar name and that's all you'll get for your extra money.

I had to fabricate some kind of accelerator linkage in order to adapt a Holley carb to my inline 6 Ford. The Lokar cable was just the thing I needed. A quality product at a reasonable price. I found it no trouble at all to cut the cable to the length I needed.
