Quality of the product was good. It breaks down and that made it easy to pack. I found that if the sand was at all wet, it would not sift. I either had to be in the dry stuff or out in the water to sift. Where I found it to work best was at low tide. I could walk out in the water, scoop, rinse and then walk up and dump out the shells. I used it in the ocean and it started rusting right away. No the products fault, salt water is corosive.

This scoop is bigger than I was expecting, which means its a little less portable, but perhaps more effective. The welds seem solid and the weight makes digging easier (but lifting harder). I prefer the short handle for a little better maneuverability.I had a difficult time assembling, specifically the long handle to the scoop. It wasn't my fault - there were two defects. The receptive tube on the head of the shovel wasn't round; it had perhaps been squeezed somehow, so the handle didn't want to slide in. I had to use leverage to round it out enough to slide in the handle. Once I'd gotten the end in, it wouldn't slide further. On additional inspection I discovered that there was a sharp bit of metal on the inside of the tube that was preventing the entry of the handle. I decided to go ahead and force it, which damaged the handle a bit but just aesthetically. That sharp bit of metal will also continue to make it difficult for me to detach/attach the long handle going forward.I'm still giving this scoop 4 stars, since the defects were annoying but do not affect use once the shovel is assembled.

The first order came with wrong handle pieces so had to return it ,the second one came in less than 3 days with the correct handle partsVery well doneVery happy they didn't even wait to get the returns before sending the replacement .Recommended
