My Yorkie is 14 yrs old & it took several attempts to get him to use them without using treats or encouragement. Quality material and soft fabric. Cats do love the nook underneath. Would definitely recommend a is a great value for the cost. Low impact on the fur babies & easy for them to use while feeling safe.

These stairs are perfect for my aging cat. The cover is a little difficult to get on over the foam but not unmanageable. My bed is extremely high and extra 2 steps make it easy for my cat to get up and down. The base is on a rug and does not slip but I would guess on hardwoods or tile it would.

These are just what my chihuahua needed. My bed is 3 feet high. She used to jump on a bench and then onto bed until she hurt her back. She loves going up and down these steps. They don't take up a lot of room either like a ramp I had previously purchased. They look really nice, too. The only thing I wish I could have gotten was more of a choice in color. I had to get grey, only choice for steps this high. White would be easier to see during the night when she gets up to use the bathroom. Otherwise we're very happy with these steps.

Absolutely impossible to put cover on! Returned item and will only purchase one that already has cover on it! Totally not worth the money, effort & stress of trying to cover it!

These stairs were perfect for my tall bed! I have a dachshund and recently got a new bed, but it’s way too tall for him to jump, so I tried these stairs and they are perfect! They are made with foam inside so they function well for my boy’s fragile back and hips. They’re sturdy for him because he’s small, but I don’t recommend for dogs over 25 pounds. These stairs were easy to assemble, are super light and easy to move or carry, and the cover material is very soft. My only note is that I wish these had some kind of slip resistance on them. They slide around very easily, so I recommend putting them against a wall or adding your own resistance to the bottom. Overall it was a great purchase!

We were so excited to finally buy a new set of mattresses for our bed, but when they came, we realized how much taller the bed is now, with the thicker mattresses. It's probably an extra 8 inches off the floor, which might be too much height for an 8 year old beagle with an arthritic spine. He injured his back last fall, and it was heartbreaking; we didn't want it to happen again. So once the bed was delivered and we put the sheets and blankets on it, it was time to find our boy some stairs.I put a lot of research into this. There are so many on the market now, and most of them look fine until you see what kind of dog is using the stairs in the promo photo. Teeny little breeds of about 20 pounds. That's fine, if that's the kind of dog you have, but Ox is a bit on the large size for a beagle. He's 43 pounds. He cannot use steps that were manufactured for a chihuahua.Unlike people, dogs can't pivot when they climb. Both front legs move together, and both back legs, too, so if the stairs are too narrow, your dog is going to fall. Then there's weight, and material. Ideally I'd like natural materials, but in this situation, wood, cotton, or wool isn't going to cut it. Mentally apologizing to the environment, I let that go, because if we invest in a large, heavy set of wood stairs for Ox, one of us Boomers is going to hurt their back getting the stairs up to our bedroom. We need stairs that are heavy enough not to fly out from under Ox when he climbs them, but lightweight enough to safely transport, and to move when I vacuum. We need fabric on the exterior that isn't slick, so Ox doesn't slip going up the stairs, and so the stairs don't start to slide away once he jumps on them. (If you look at the photo, you can see that we have a wood floor with some very thin area rugs.) And we need them high enough to get him up to the bed. However, they couldn't be so oversized as to interfere with us getting to the bathroom at night!I spent a lot of time reading reviews, and looking at the measurements. I copiously avoided any staircase that was specified as being made for a dog smaller or lighter than Ox. And we needed these stairs right away! If some third party seller was going to make us wait for a month, I eliminated them immediately. When these stairs came, we opened them up and decided to get the cover on there right away, before it had a chance to expand completely. I highly recommend doing this! It took 15 or 20 minutes to wrestle it into the cover, and you do want that cover on, because without it, you have bare white foam. There's a little flyer included that shows the various configurations available and how to put it together, and that's a plus for us. So many manufacturers don't even bother with instructions these days. When we got it on, we figured out how to zip the cloth in order to completely cover the little kitty cubby inside the base. (The cat is out of luck; she's not allowed in our room!) In the end, it came out looking good, and we are impressed with the design.A word about the colors. This thing shows up on my monitor as blue and cream, and that's totally wrong. The very top is a light beige, and the larger part of the stairs as well as the enclosure are actually green, somewhere between mint and sage. By pure good luck, this matches our bed. That's the least important aspect to us, but it's nice. An added concern was that we might forget the stairs are there and fall over them in the dark. Between our faint nightlight and the light colors, especially up top, we can see these stairs at night, even though we use blackout draperies. And the soft material keeps us from cracking our toes on it.I haven't been this happy with a purchase in a good long time. At the start, it seemed like a lot to spend just to get the dog safely on the bed, but now we are quite satisfied that it's money well spent. Highly recommended, especially to people with medium to medium-large breed dogs.

These things are fantastic, helps the dogs get onto the bed and after being taught to use them they're super comfortable to use. The hidden feature though is that cats like the stairs too and especially the little hole. Only issue is it's just so expensive that despite being a fantastic product it's hard to justify buying. Yes it's great to have a staircase that is essentially one big pillow but the question is if that's worthwhile for most dog owners.Unless you're like me with a dog with a low hanging belly and stubby legs that can't climb traditional stairs, probably not. If you are it's still expensive but it may be worthwhile.
