These are pretty small bags of silica gel that are really reactive. I put them near a batch of flowers I was working on and some activated by accident. I use packets on the top of my regular loose gel and left these out too long near them. That was on me. However, if you are looking for long term absorbent you’ll need a larger bag. Word to the wise. Like the size of the crystal itself. Easy to reactivate as well. I put low absorbency because the small packets, by nature, are low absorbency. For the size and price, does the job. I didn’t get plastic bags so I don’t have the complaints others have

I bought these to use in some of my spices. Florida is HUMID and even with lids closed tightly, spices get clumsy. These are a great size and solution.I haven’t used them long enough to test out the “re-use†feature, but they are reasonable enough that even if they didn’t have this, they are worth the purchase.

I use two of these in our safe, and I replace them every three months. If I don't, I notice that papers stored in the safe feel moist, and that can't be good.

If you have items that you want to keep dry and you store it in a sealed container than these are perfect for you. I am happy with their longevity. I put some inside my storage totes in the fall and they still haven't turned colour. When they do just change them out and put the "wet" ones in the oven to dry out and reset.
