A truck slid into the back of my car. This step saved me an insurance claim and thousands of dollars! The hitch receiver broke but the step is still good. DEFFINETLY RECCOMEND!!

The opening on the top plate measures appx. 1.5". It absolutely will not slip over a 2" ball. The base for many 2" balls also measures 2". So, unbolting the ball to install is not an option either. Since this was aluminum, I spent about an hour with a grinding burr tool and a file. Had this been steel, I would have returned it (because it would have taken more work to widen.

The manufacturer should be more specific as to what hitch the step is made to fit.I also spent over an hour to make the top bracket fit my application.I even took this item with me to a store that only sells trailer equipment and the top bracket didn't fit any of the 2 inch balls.

This step works great and was easily installed. This was installed on a side by side ATV and makes access to the top of the back very easy.

The part that is suppose to hold the step stable will not fit around the 2 inch trailer hitch ball shoulder. I tried to grind off a little of the trailer hitch ball but it would take grinding off 1/4 inch all the way around. The ball fits into the step itself but the top bracket's hole is too small. Totally useless for me and I would not recommend anybody to buy this thing. Still waiting on the seller's response.
