These things wear out. Brake fluid is corrosive and will eventually degrade the parts. I've been repairing the OEM part for years. It finally was in such poor condition my repairing was futile. This aftermarket part is almost identical in appearance. Inexpensive!!!! Easy replacement. Took ten minutes. I put it in place, then bled it before connecting the line. Technically a "bench bleed". Connected the line and it required no further bleeding at the caliper. Good to go!

I bought this but didn't get a chance to install it until after the return deadline. Too bad because the hand brake control on my 2000 Polaris Trail Boss 325 quad uses a hydraulic line that screws directly into the control, not a banjo fitting like this one is designed for and no, the threads are not the same if you eliminate the banjo fitting.
