Very nice product & fit. The magnet is pretty strong, enough to make it challenging to get into the hole as it wants to stick to the oil pan. It's worth the challenge for the magnets function of catching any metal particles. It takes a 17mm socket instead of the 14mm OEM plug, again, no issue there. This seller also has multi-packs of the copper washers, best practice is get a pack & change washer every time you change your oil & torque the plug to 30 ft./lbs.

I purchased another oil drain plug for my Corvette. After just one oil change the edges of the hex head stripped due to the poor build quality. So, it was time to buy another. I searched more carefully this time. I came across this item and was impressed with the build quality depicted in the photos. While stainless steel isn't as strong as forged steel, it does offer other advantages. It arrived yesterday and boy am I impressed. It is jewel like with precise machining. Even the packaging is impressive. The magnet is also very strong. I am quite satisfied with this purchase and you will be, too.

I had to be a little bit careful to not cross thread it putting it in initially because the magnet made it tend to tilt in the socket a little bit. Once lined up though, it fit perfectly and handled a decent amount of torque in tightening. I'll be curious in the long run how much metal it collects, but I can at least state that it's a good replacement plug.

Its a shame that only your mechanic can yourself will see this plug because it is really nice.Immediately you will feel the substantial weight of this plug.It is a solid machined part - not like a stamped plug fed through a threading machine like most other plugs including OEM plugs.This plug is much better than factory plugs.It is clearly machined with crisp corners and absolutely flat and parallel surfaces.The threads are sharp and precise.The size is etched on the head so it wont rub off and this makes it easy to find if you have mulitple sizes or forget what size it is.Even the copper washer is very well made.The magnet is large and strong when I stuck it to a metal cabinet.I will be replacing the plugs in my Acura and Mercedes with this one.
