I use extruded aluminum with Tee slots to quickly assemble aluminum decking and 3d printers. The M5 T Nut Roll-in Spring Loaded set is made from steel, but nickel plated. Steel threads makes it possible to get a good torque on the fitting. It uses M5 screws and they are stout enough to secure fittings on to the extrusion. I like the spring behind them because you can position the T Nut where you want with no worry whether it will slide out of position. You must be careful to get the appropriate length M5 screw because it can bottom out on the inside of the slot, giving you a loose connection. You can fix the loose fitting problem by using washers if you must use a screw that is too long.

The tolerances fit and finish on them leaves a lot to be desired. They will certainly *work*, but the margin for error very little. I feel if sufficient torque were to be applied they would slip out. The finish is roughly machined. You get what you pay for.

I have no immediate need for these T-nuts, but I'm delighted to have them around if the need arises. None of my assemblages is currently missing any attachments, but if I have the need to append something in the future I'm not going to enjoy taking everything apart to add it on. These spring-loaded T-nuts make that easy. The nuts insert into a 2020 extrusion without having to slide it in from an open end. The spring-loaded ball bearing provides just the right amount of friction to keep the nut where you want it. Note that the nut won't go into the extrusion slot if you already have a screw threaded in the nut, but you can rest assured that the friction won't have the nut sliding around when inserted on its own. And when you insert the screw everything is permanently stabilized and you can attach any accessory needed. Quite cool.

These work really well for building custom machines. I really like the spring loaded ball bearing that keeps the nut where you put it, no need to hold it in place while you screw in your next piece.

These roll-in t-nuts are an excellent solution for attaching various components to 20x20 or 40x40 extrusions commonly found in 3D printer frames. They provide a secure and reliable connection when tightened, ensuring that the nuts remain in place without moving during alignment. Compared to hammerhead nuts, which often fail to lock properly, these roll-in t-nuts offer a significantly easier and more reliable alternative. They are an indispensable addition to any 3D printer equipped with extrusion frames, providing a hassle-free and efficient way to connect components.

These M5 T-nuts from Mriuuod are great. They are spring loaded which allows them to stay put and not slide around while you are installing things. The springs work much better than a previous batch I had.

The cost on these was great, but the quality was a bit lacking. While they worked in 2020 channels, if you look at the picture you will notice it was a loose fit. If too much torque was put on the screws, these risked popping out of the channel. They also showed a lot of rough markings from the manufacturing process, which caised them the slide roughly through the channels as well. Not bad in a pinch, but not good for final product.

These are extremely easy to use, You can either slide these in from the ends, or snap them into the channel directly. the spring loaded bearing keeps them from sliding around, but allows them to be easily moved into position. Perfect fit for my build.
