Do not fit the slot ,almost impossible to thread anything into cause the ball doesn't hold it in place,they work but are a total pain.

Much too shallow for standard 40 series slots; they will not stay in place because the ball makes no contact with the bottom of the slot.The threads are VERY poorly tapped. Many of them I have had to retap or remove many many burrs.T Nut material very questionable. Can't tell what material it is but the threads are very fragile.Only positive things to say about them is that they are the correct width and that they are in fact threaded for M8 bolts.Considering their shallow depth that makes the ball useless. these are very expensive T-Nuts. If the ball springs were in fact usable they might be good value.

These are too shallow to hold position in standard 4040.

Extrusion used was 8020 brand 4040 heavy duty, This material has the smallest groves of any 4040 materials. These nuts were still undersized and the ball bearing spring would not even slightly hold the position of the nut.Read the spec these Nuts can have a 1 to 3mm error!!!! and they cannot be returned based on this. 3mm is huge is this product. First lot I got worked fine. The second lot was way undersized. Buyer beware. This almost looks like a scam for getting rid of rejected material.
