Used one of these to step drill out a 5/8" hole in a chain link fence post. Worked great! I like the variety of different step angles.

I have a number of step bits, but these are by far the nicest. This is a great design with an eye toward efficient material removal. They are extremely sharp. They make very clean holes and bore through a variety of materials with ease. A range of sizes (⅛" to 1⅜") with some overlap across bits ensures coverage for most applications with fewer bit changes.The blow-molded case is better than most in that it has real hinges, not just creased/folded plastic (which usually breaks over time).A nice addition to my workshop.

I use uni unibits on almost all jobs that I do. I have tried using them a few times now and each time I switch to my old ones. When I'm drilling my hole they get stuck and cause the drill to suddenly stop. There should be a smooth operation as the hole gets to the size hole you want. I went out and bought a different set and they are working great. Don't buy unless you want to get frustrated drilling your hole.

This four spiral flute drill bit set comes with 5 different pieces and can be used for metal/steel/aluminum/wood/plastic. The darker nitride finish looks sleek and the cobalt core will mean it'll last a really long time. I like the drill bit box it comes in and it's organized from smallest to largest. The cuts are super clean and it's easy to split wood trunks. The holes they drill are smooth and clean. Overall a solid set.
